fire-type tend to be the most fun to play, although hard at first as you always go against an rock type at the start...

Mudkip is the best. NO weakness against electric. Can learn great moves.Mine has: Surf, Blizzard, Waterfall, Ice beam

I think the best starter pokemon would be one with different types. so in that case i'd have to say mudkip.

The best starter pokemon is Cyndaquil because it learn very strong moves when it grow and evolve

I would have to say the most usefull in all games has been bulbasaur, cause it lets you pass almost all of green leaf, fire red, blue and red really easy, as it will beat the first two gyms without breaking a drop of sweat, the third also, and after that you'll have a pretty strong Venasaur to kick any gym leaders ass for the rest of the game, yet i prefer charizard, he's just plain cooler, pick charmander dude

Bulbasaur would make it easier to get through the start of the game, but i'd rather have Charmander

Squirtle. Mostly because my blastoise just wiped the floor with any and every pokemon that ever came in my way.
