chamander is favorite because of chrizard but the best would have to be mudkip because it only weakness is grass (most grass pokemon are weak and wack except for trecko cause of leafblade)

I always start with the grass pokemon. Venusaur is fantastically balanced, and the newest one Torterra has a great type setting (Grass/Rock). VERY strong indeed.

If you mean favorite, I'd say Charmander. But BEST would be Bulbasaur in Red/Blue/Yellow and Fire Red/Leaf Green since you can easily beat the first three Gym leaders.

i agree. bulbasaur makes life in the beginning HELLAH easy. except the forest part.

Going with Bulbasaur makes soloing the game up until the elite four really easy. But I always like charmander because as charizard you get great speed and he can learn a lot of those useful HMs

definatley agreed. the basic pokemon are the best, and i always alternate between those too.i find that they get less and less 'pokemon' looking with each new game. they have too much 'armour' and 'machine-gun'-like appendages now.whatever happend to the original 150? kangashkan was the most armoured you'd see... and it carried a baby. way more friendly.

Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?

In the old old old version of Pokemonsquirtle was the best because later, you can teach him ICE BEAM and beat the crap out of Venasaur(remember, grass is weak against ice)
