well i choose grass type bulbasaur, treecko, etc because they are pretty good at the beginning and you will be pretty far in the game so you can get better pokemom to replace them

Cyndaquil, but I'm not a real Pokemon veteran or anything.For other games, I would say Squirtle for R/B and Treeko for R/S.

Squirtle! You didn't have a really hard time against the first gym leader, and Blastoise had the best overall stats of the three starters.

I think in 1-151 is Charmander the best because it has two types at the end of evolution and it has some dragon and fly attackes.152-251 it is Totodile I think.in 252-386 I think Torchic because Fight beats Groundin 387-493 it is Chimchar because its fight can stop the water a bit and fire beats steelfire and fight is quite good against ground.

I think mine will be Chimchar in Sinnoh, because once he evolves, he can beat any gym easily.

For me, the best is Charmander. He can learn powerful moves and when he becomes Charizard, watch it. it can learn now Blast Burn, a very powerful fire move. I also like Bulbasaur cause Venusaur's Frenzy Plant move is...... and Squirtle cause Blastoise looks cool with those cannons on his shell.

I like the water type starters, though for ruby/sapphire/emerald, I perfer Torchic. It looks cuter

Well I like torchic too, but I love grass pokemons more. My favorite is bublasaur.

Hmm..I'm a charizard fan so I choose charmander. Burninate!I really have no interest in 2nd generation and above. I just don't like them... :DBut I guess they shouldn't be bad because of your posts.

Torchik, because fire/fighting is a deadly combination in the end-game. He can take out half the Elite Four by himself!

The best starter pokemon is Charmander because with him it is a bit easier to fight the Elite Four and the Gyms.

In Red and Blue i always used Charmander. In Silver and Gold I used the water types from then on.
