water pokemon are always the way to gothey can beat fire easily and in squirtle totodile's (dont knowthe others)they are more weak against electric not leaf

The Grass starter pokemon is best for advanced players...The Water starter pokemon is best for internediate players..The Fire starter pokemon is best for beginner players...i like Piplup, Turtwig, Treecko, Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Squirtle...

i like Torchic, Totodile, and Bulbasaur , but Torchic is cool for me.

Id say Charmander, Totodile, and Mudkip are my favorite. And also from the new pokemon, Chimchar.

I've always gone with charmander. Of course, this does make the first gym rather difficult...Other than that, I normally pick cyndiquil. (Yes, I havn't played past Silver. And I am a pretty big fan of fire pokemon.)

Well, my first game, I picked Squirtle (Pokemon Red) then Pikachu (Yellow) then I believe I picked Totodile (Silver) and for Ruby, I don't necessarily remember who I picked, but I think it was the fire one that time @_@

Torchic, for two reasons 1. It's the only time I haven't chosen a water pokemon2. I could take out the entire Elite 4 with Blaziken and no items(not counting the one he was holding). He was only at lvl 70, even I was suprised.

Bulbasaur sucks. I used Bulbasaur in Fire Red and as soon as I got it I regretted it. Not so much I suppose though cause its female...Grass pokemon I find do not make very good starters except for maybe Diamond/Pearl, but I wouldnt know about that cause I traded with my cousin in the beginning of the game and got all 3 starters.Hmm...perhaps Charmander, Mudkip and Torchic would have to be the best fighters, with Mudkip pwning all of them.

Charmander and Totodile... I simply cannot choose between the two, and I have more, but those are my top favorite starters..

I love mudkip because it is able to take on the electric gym with mud shot and easier to complete the game!

I'd say Charmander in Red and Blue, Chicorita in Gold and Silver, Treecko in Ruby and Sapphire and Piplup in Diamond and Pearl, I like a good challenge in RPGs. As for the most skilled starter, I'd say Mudkip every time,.

the best starter is mudkip cuz its not affected by lightning attacks but still weak against grass so makes more sense in the circle thing of how one is always stronger than another such as fire beats grass grass beats water and water beats fire

I love Cyndaquil! He's so cute ^^ The fire types are my favorites, but I also like Squirtle and Treecko. And I like to play yellow for pikachu!

Bulbasaur. There has never been another starter-Pokemon like it, in my opinion.It has quick growth, so it's peak has been reached by about the 7-8th gym (where it's lost it's super-effective spark), and has super-effective against the first... Is it 3 gym leaders? Even after that, the only major fear for it is the 7th gym.
