Pesonally Torchic rules, when it becomes a Blaziken it combines FIRE attacks and FIGHTING attacks perfectly and it has some really awesome stats and it's naturally learnt moveset rocks, there's no beating a well trained Blaziken without a water type and even PSY types struggle aginst it.

Kanto(aka original starters)Come on, we can all see how they disfigure the pokemon from johto to hoenn. They all start cute, but each evolution makes them grow into really ugly stuff.Kanto has bulbasaur that grows into an ugly venusaur,Johto has totodile and chicorita,And Hoenn has all three that evolves into real turn-offs...In terms of power, I don't really see a difference among them.

I prefer the Johto starters as they are some of the cutest Pokemon (in my opinion) and they're from my favourite game. However I have to say the Johto starters are the most powerful. Sceptile can kill a helluva lot of stuff.

I like Hoenn simply because there's where Mudkip's from. Kanto wasn't bad either, since it has Squirtle. So yeah...I love water pokemon.

I would say the first series too. Not to say that the other starters were bad though.

I think Treecko is the best pokémon to start with because it learns the "absorb" attack. This attack works best when used by a pokémon with a lower level than 20.If you want your pokémon to use a good absorb while its level is higher than 20, I'd suggest to buy the TM called Mega Drain. :D

Torchic is the best!!! and I think that Blaziken, its last evolution is really cool!!! and learns a lot of TM attacks ^^ my Blaziken has a very nice move set and I can't wait to transfer it to Pokemon :D: Gale of Darkness... find that link cable is a pain where I live.

i think totodial. water pokemon seem to be the strongest starting out and totodail seemed a little stronger than squirtle, so it wins.

i use Bulbasaur in Red/Blue/Yellow because you can easily beat the first three Gym leaders.in the first gym u can use vine wip... its very effectivein the second Bulbasaur is leaf and the leader use water pokemons...and in the last Bulbasaur is leaf and the leader use eletric pokemon.

Squirtle is certainly the best starter. For one, it's a water type and the water type starter is always the way to go! Besides, Wartortle and Blastoise are awsome looking!

I think the best choices are all fire pokemon because there are few in the game and very hard to find.

charmander is the best starter pokemon because it's fire attacks do well on the grass monsters you meet early on.
