Look, mudkip is water/ground, ground, who´s make mudkip immune to eletric, can damage fire, poison and rock pokemon, water can win fire, rock and ground. The ground part can make great damage to ice, that water cannot. Mudkip learn mud-slap, that done damage and down accuracy, and can learn strong attacks like surf, earthquake. Mudkip is double resistent to fire. Well, I dont remember somethings...

I'd have to say Chikorita because she learns her Razor Leaf attack at a low level.

I'm seriously stuck between Torchic and Squirtle. In Pokemon Leaf Green, Squirtle's great for the first gym, because it's rock type. But in Sapphire, Torchic's the best because it listens well and evolves faster.D:

I say torchic because you can simply breeze through the game after it evolves, so i perfer to level him, i always get a boy, untill 16 then i go to the first gym.

I believe, if trained right, Torchic is the best starter. When he evovles, he becomes a really strong fighting/fire type, not to mention Blaziken is THE coolest looking Poke'mon ever.

I liked the second generation. I mean come on, they had NIGHT and DAY. I still wonder why R/S didn't have it.

I like squirtle, because it evolves into my favorite, Blastoise. I also like Charmander and Torchic though. Partially because of their evolved forms and partially because of the fire.

I think that Charmander is the best starter pokemon because it is fire, and fire for me is the easiest pokemon to use.
