If you mean favorite, I'd say CindaquilBut BEST would be Bulbasaur in Red/Blue/Yellow and Fire Red/Leaf Green since you can easily beat the first three Gym leaders.

you forgot Pikachu, he is the best starter, after brock he creams all the other gyms. lev 100 pikachu destroy the elte 4 pokemon in one hit.

charmander , then cindaquil, then treecko. if you can get a female of the last two then thats all for the best, if you get the potion straight off in the character's bedroom you can compleat the first fight then be ready for the guy by the time you get there, the other pokemon struggle and aren't nearly as impressive in their later forms

CHARMANDER ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way lol. I have been playin the Pokemon franchise for a really long time, i started playing since Gameboy color came out and i cant get enough of it

There really is no "best". They're all just different. They level differently, get different abilities, and different stats, but overall they're pretty much all equal.

It would be sharizard because out of all of the starters the best is torchic and charmander. When they go to their final evolution charizard would win since he is a flying type and blaziken is a fighting.

I like the third generation as they have better graphics and well... I had a better experience playing them then playing the first generation.

As someone who started with Pokémon Red, I have to say that I really just liked GS in general better than RBY. I still am pissed that they never released Pokemon Pinball GS for the GBC. I really am. I have to agree that it was really just a good game series.I used to love the way my Blastoise with Dig, Bite, Water Gun, and Hydro Pump started just tooling everyone suddenly, too. I mean, think about this - What I had initially on Red was a Water pokémon with some meagre protection against electric attacks and a normal attack. What I had on Gold was a monster, using Water as his base. Dig suddenly started crashing through things. Bite allowed me to save my PP from Hydro Pump and Water Gun when I fought Ghosts. Hydro Pump suddenly for some reason started doing more damage. Literally, my team became made up of a level 80 Golduck (take a guess how I got an 80 - the ending hex number in the name field :-P) with his Psychic attacks and Water attacks; Feraligator with his Slash attack, the other form of Bite, and the same water attacks as Blastoise; Blastoise himself; Fearow (I forget whether he was my Red one or not...does it like, matter?); and a few others.So I have to say, the best one was Gold. Since then they went downhill.

Nothing can beat the classics (Red,Blue,Yellow) (I dont recall a green)my second wuld b 2nd generation cuz gold was my 2nd pkmn game
