Squirtle is the best ofcourse.. You can go through the entire game with just him easily. Even on the electric dude I pwned him with my blastoise. Then later on on the gyms you take out every pokemon without getting hurt, and killing everybody in one hit (believe it or not, I'm not exagerating). + hydro pump pwns everything. And Blaziken, wtf is it? It's liek a tall hairy chicken, blastoise has pumps that will blast him all the way back to lvl 1. And lastly he has such high defense even super effective attacks barely scratch him..... other then him though, the other water staters.

I heard these are the best onesTorchicTotodileBulbasaureThose 3 will help you get past the first couple gym battles until you catch more suitable pokemon. But my favorite one would have to be Charmander and Torchic would be the best to pick out of them cause of the fighting moves he learns.

I'd say Charmander, cuz he could eventually evolve into Charizard, which is one of the coolest Pokemon out there. Not too mention powerful and awesome. Can fly too. And breath fire.

i chose totadile because i like it, and water types are better to start with and has fewer enemies. Grass types cannot survive the bugs forest... Fire types are not good for 1st gym, unless is torchic. :whistle2:

i think totadile because i really like crocodiles and i think that that is the closet pokemon to a crocodile,but in leaf green/fire red i like to use charmander!hhhhmmmmmm.......
