Torchic or Charmander. Those are the two most powerful fire type starters.

loose from the games i think torchic because he has 3 type's(flying, fighting, fire) XD

i disagree. hes not flying type i think. more like just fighting and fire with a blend of flying attacks.if he WAS flyign then ground wouldnt work on it. since hes fire too.. ground is super effective on it :Tso in my opinion. charizard is the best fire. since he gets rid of the fire weakness of ground. then again.. he gains lightning so .. idk >.>charmander because he becomes charizard ^_^

My favorite is easily charmander but the first two gyms are usually tough on fire and grass types (rock and flying gyms lol) so any water would be easiest for the first part of the games at least

Hikozaru.I love monkeys and the Pokeys never did a fair job representing them (I mean... Aipom?). But Hikozaru is perfect! Well, he is cool, but Goukazaru is perfect! Fire? Fighting? Monkey? Chinese? *___*

For the original series (or Fire Red/Leaf Green), Charmander is the best because Charizard is a BEAST... even though it means you will pretty much have to use like, Butterfree and Pikachu or someone of the like in the first two gyms, it is better at the end of the game when you have Charizard dominating.

I like Torchic and Charmander since Charmander can learn moves that can own blastoise and venasur and Blaziken for the same reason.

I think I chose Totodile the most, but then again, I think I stopped using the starters altogether after like, 5 badges.

Pochama... Steel pkm are great. Even though Pochama has lots of weaknesses they has a cray amount of advantages against many types. The grass type is double weak vs ice and the fire type is just a difference blaziken.

I would chose cyndaquil cause he is most awsome, he is the coolest fire pokemon in the whole game (waiting on a houndoom costs way to much of my time) and your rival gets a totdile so you get to see a feraligator to
