I'd have to say Torchik. When fully evolved it's a fire/fighting type. Both fire and fighting got moves that blow your head off

i think all pokemons are special and shouldnt be forced to choose between erm....i mean that the trainer shouldnt be forced to choose between them.however if i had to pick i would have prof.oakhe has many special abilitys like "snooze" and "read a book"my favourite technique is "will it blend?"this is where he puts objects (not people/pokemons [phew!]) into blenders and throws the blender at the person.but that was a joke!hope you found that funny!i have to say that one of the ones in the list is always going to be the best one!now riddle me this: which one is best?any thoughts?

cindaquil is the best starter because it gives you advantage over the first 2-3 gymshowever i think squirtle has the best final evolution form

I havent seen 'Diamond' and 'Pearl' yet.And you miss 'Red Rescue Team', it's my favorite too.

I like fire Pokemon and cyndaquil is quite cute more than totodilechikorita final form looks like plant-eating dinosaur, I dont like it

Personally, I'd choose fire-type pokemons!: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic... since most fire pokemons that can be caught (in the wild) aren'tthat strong. And less fire pokemons can be found anywhere!

I prefer the first because that's what I started with, plus they weren't scraping the barrel for names and types like they seem to be nowadays.

Being the huge fan of Water pokemon that I am, I'll probably go with Pochama. Besides...it's a penguin...it's about time there was a penguin Pokemon

i looked at the stats and movepool, and i am very dissapointed in pocchama. it doesnt learn anything good outside of tms to get a good steel type, i like naetoru the best his final form has great capabilities

i used to like the penguin but his last evolved form doesnt look good.i like the grass turtle though.. his last form looks awesome

i honestly dont kno who i would pick, but i know once i found out which type of pokemon the first big battle would be using, i would choose the pokemon that is strong against that type, because i know then i would be able to catch new pokemon later that will help with the other battles

In case anyone didn't see my response to the one on which game to start out on...RED, BLUE, YELLOW!I AM A PURIST! THERE'S JUST TOO MUCH ADDING AND REMOVING POKEMON IN THE LATER ADDITIONS! 
I COULD HANDLE GOLD, SILVER AND CRYSTAL (no removed Pokemon), BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I THINK WE SHOULD STAY WITH THE ORIGINAL 151!

I'm a fan of Ruby/Sapphire generation. That's when all the EV/IV stuff started showing up, and NetBattle started getting popular and people were using insane strategies to win. Hopefully D/P can live up to that since it's Wi-Fi and everything, people won't need NetBattle as much.
