umhh i dont play these games anymore but i rember a lot and i always picked the fire one but the water one is okay to the grass one is good later on but isent good against bosses so i pick the fire one!

torchic because all the other fire types suck that u find in the wild so unless u can trade or r using an emulator id go with torchic

it might just be me, but i always felt that choosing the grass type starter provided more of a challenging game, so i picked treeko

If you new and want to start off go with mudkip since it can beat the first few gym leader no problem and get u off to a good start, then traeckle gets abit harder then torchic hard to get past the 1st gym

I used Treecko in Sapphire. Then I tried Mudkip in Emerald. Never used Torchic, as I feel it's overrated.Mudkip is the best, game- and tacticwise.

The best is mudkip if you go for the razonable, because there is no water/ground and the only posible way to kill they is with a grass pokemon and there is only one good grass pokemon and is treeko (for my) and the grass pokemon are very week to fliyin, fire, poison and one or two more that i don't remember.but the more cute is torchic.and for my i don't use the starters, except mudkip for hm slave. i use all pokemos catched and trained for my since the level 2.the one that i like more is torchic because i cute and the evolutions are very powerfull

if i could choose another i would cuase i think the 3 are really ugly in any form @_@ .. but since i have to.. probably torchic cuase its helpful in the long run and there arent that many good fire types out there in the wild

I ALWAYS go for fire type, seems like they turn out strongest in the end... Charizard always was my best friend in the Blue/Red series, I used him for EVERYTHING without any other pokemon with me, unless I needed HM's.Same with Cyndaquil in Silver/Gold, got stronger in my opinion then the other's.However, when I first played Sapphire, I used treecko and he turned out awesome... And my friend used Mudkip. So I think they're more balanced for that series. So, basically, the choice would be up to you. I'd base it off of what gyms are in what order.

It doesn't matter the gyms, if you manage to get a water or grass pokemon at first, you can easily do it with torchic. I have always played with torchic and catching a wingull right at the beggining help in the first gym.

Forget that, just evolve Torchic before you reach the first gym.. Use fighting moves, works every time... Like i said, every kind works for that version, but if you're new to pokemon and don't know what you're doing, it's helpful to have the pokemon for gyms in advance.

Best overall pokemon to use would be Mudkip, its well balanced.Overall all 3 starters are very good , widely used competetive pokemon, it don't mmatter which you use.I prefer Torchic myself.

meh i like mudkip hes easier to traini go for torchic
but yea later on hes the best agenst most of the electric trainers and fire and dragon cuz he can learn ice beam, earthquake, hydro pump/surf and hyper beam

It depends on your perferences. I picked Treeco, as it evolves into a very speedy Pokemon and it is good in competitve battling. Mudkip will have very balanced stats and is good at both in-game and competitve battling. Think of it as a speedy Quagsire. Torchic is extremely good later on, as it through the opposition. However, I feel it has more weaknessess than the other two is not as good in competitve battling. But that's just my opinion.
