I would say Yoshi's Island 2. It really pushes the system, with polygon effects, advanced particles, warping environments, some basic water effects, and fluid drawn animations. These technical accomplishments are impressive in of themselves, however the most important aspect of the game is the spectacular art direction. I have never seen any other game (except for its sequels) like it. Everything looks like it was drawn with pastels and crayons by a kid. A VERY talented kid. It is so fresh and imaginative, with simply some of the best level designs and characters I have ever seen. When I go back and play this game I am still blown away.

I liked the graphics for the pokemon games are pretty much at the top, which is surprising too since the other aspects of the game are soo large too. but they are the best ive seen throughout gameplay

Spyro and the season of Ice looked and played pretty good for a GBA game.
