Is anyone sick of the final fantasy series or all those RPGs(?) from square? I'm just so sick and tired of non-tactical turn based and cheesy j-idol anime. When will it all be really FINAL?

i personally think that after ff7 the ff series started to suck. I've beginning to have a dislike for a lot of squares games, ever since i tried to play that crap they called ffx2. They are totally in it for the money, and sure, that's what this business is for, but i have a feeling they forgot what the gamers that used to play their games want.

6 good tactics good 8 good 9 good.otherwise, the series needs to disappear forever. if 12 is as bad as i suspect it will be, i want SE to go out of business forever. If it's good then I'll give them another chance.

I feel as though you guys are thinking too narrowly on this subject. A game is not only played because of the fun value of it. From the begining of the entire series, one had to look deeper than face value. Each game possesses something that can only been seen by really paying attention to the dialogue and animations, and with each game, all of these things have improved more and more, to the point that now there are such realistic animations and enough space on the discs to make flesh out more than just the main character. Many characters are able to be seen to draw an emotional feeling. I think you all are looking to narrowly at this. Plus, a certain degree of difficulty can be added to the game for those who find it too easy.

"A game is not only played because of the fun value of it."Uh, yes, actually it is. I don't play games that aren't fun. HURRR. If characters engulf me in themselves I enjoy finding out more about them. This is fun. If gameplay is solid, this is fun. If the characters piss me off and I hate the game, not only will I not play it, but I wont acknowledge it as a good game. This is called logic. It's useful. You want to get into face value and character development? I'm writing a goddamned film script. I watch movies like you people play video games. I care more about characters and storyline than I do gameplay. So I think I would not only get to say why I play games and what makes them fun, but I can also say how invalid your argument is.

The FF games r never the same... just compare FF7 to FF8... they r totally different... hellohello if u dont like the things u mentionbe u just have to stop playing RPG games....But i do agree that FF series started to sucks.... FF VIII was not good... FF X was really bad... FF X-2 was horrible... and FF XI can not be even called FF... (maybe they could called it by another name... like they did in Final Fantasy Tactics... hummm... maybe Final Fantasy Online... or somethig like that...)

I enjoy the Final Fantasy series exept for X2 but I am more of a fan of RPGs I enjoy a good story line and plot twists, but Some times they tend to focus to much on the main character instead of the actual story especially in x2

The series is always changing for the better, not being repetitive. The only reason it is called final is because it was supposed to be the failing developer's last game.

Nah doesn't get tyring to play them even after all these years of playing most of them I still don't find it boring. The storyline is what keeps me playing and gameplay as well.

IMO Squaresoft stoped to focus on the other chars. storylines...In FF7 u could see very good chars. stories... such as Red and Vicent...And IMO in FF6 there wasn't a MAIN CHAR.Then in FF8 its just about Squall doing that... Squall saying that... Squall... Squall....

well in case anyone didn;t know square made ff1 to be thier final game ever they were going to see how much it sold give the employees their last paycheck and make square disappear(hence final) but when the game caught on and became well liked they started producing more and more games and became the merged corp. that we all know and love(if not for FF but for other games) today.

"Final Fantasy is the only Game for Me" I love that flash cartoon. One is still one of the best consul games around. I got a little burnt out on 10 but Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced made up for it. Has anyone seen the Final Fantasy Larp photo with the kid as the Chocobo and Barret in Black face that photo that is priceless

Final Fantasy is always much of the same but I like that, FF wouldn't be FF anymore when they totally changed the game.
