I agree... After FFVII, all the other games just focused on making the characters more pretty (except FFIX). I guess SquareEnix believe on the quoto of EGM: "No Fantasy too Final..."i love final fantasy....but ff7 was their best.....they're getting worse

Ive liked them all up untill and including 9. 10 was not so good and story was to short to complete but it had its ups. X2 was just a complete hunk of steeming you know what. Didn't like Crytal chronicles that much either.

play a dif kind of rpg if you dont like ff turn based. try....augh i forgot what it was called. the main character was a guy, kinda looked like squall, and he could turn into dif deamonds. its the best rpg for ps2, but not that long

i'm indeed tired of final fantasy games lately lets see... and thats my opinion so don't take it too seriously please. This only shows games of the current original serieGOOD GAMES:Final Fantasy 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, TacticBAD GAMES:Final Fantasy 6,7,9,X, X-2Never Played: 2 & 3OTHERS: Final Fantasy XI: As a mmorpg it is a good one too bad its party based except for some jobs only.

No way! I only started playing ff with 7 so i can't talk about the earlier versions but ff7 is a classic i'm still playing it today and thats after doing everything years ago it's always good no matter how many times you've played it. ff8 i thought was a let down but ff9 made me love ff again the graphics were a little dodgy but other wise it was a good game. Then ffX came along my main has has over 350hrs and i'm still going it's all most as good as 7! ffX2 was ok but the fact that you could go through from the start with your built up stats made it shine. I haven't and won't play ff11 as i don't like to share my ff rpgs with anyone. Final Fantasy will be around forever and i'll still be playing them when i'm 80! They Rock!

well the reason that they named it final fantasy has nothing to do with whats in the game but the history of the Square company (before they fused with Enix)before FF, Square was a very small company that made games (no rpgs) for the NES. They didn't make a lot of money and was gonna go broke. THEN, they decided to make an rpg based on the same formula as Dragonquest (from Enix). They put everything they had in it making it as best as they could. If this game failed, then they go bankrupt, but if it succeeded then they will be rich, thus Final Fantasy. Well it succeeded (duh?) and thank god for that

Hmm...I don't know what to say.Some of the games were really dead boring.Like X-2...gah...a waste of photographs...pixels...and time...But I'm still hoping a game like X-1 or FF7 might come out again.

I don't see how any of you guys can say that final fantasy sucks. The thing about final Fantasy is that they each have something unique about them. they were all good in their own way. for example, everything about 9 sucked except for the storyline. It made up for everything else by itself. The only one that I haven't played is 11 and that only b/c I don't have a good internet connection. Final fantasy is going to be around for a while to come. There are rumors that they are going to start polling fans about things to put into the games so that everybody gets what they want. also I don't know about you guys but I've seen FF7:AC and there are so many scenes in it from the game that are remade that I'll be suprised if they don't release it again.

There is a lot of complaining about FF in here, but how would you guys fix it? I've played every one through FFX, and then I got just a little bored with the series. What I think they need to work on is creating better villians. In Role-Playing games, the game is set up to invariably end with a big showdown with some uber-powerful really evil guy. And I just haven't been feeling it since 7.My favorite villians were Sephiroth (just because the guy was a complete stallion) and then Kefka in 6 because I just dispised them both for different reasons. When I am fighting Sin in ten, do I really care if I destroy some huge gelatinous glob? I mean it's nice to save the world and everything, but I don't have a lot of emotion tied into hitting the right wing of some blob as big as the titanic.Just a thought.-Tip

heh i think 7 was OK.. i really liked 8.. and 9 was good.. 10 and 10-2 were NOTHING SPECIAL... dissapointment thier.. however i am waiting for 12
