Quoted for great justice. I couldn't of said it any better myself. Sephiroth and Kefka are definately up there on my list of awesome foes. In MY humble opinion the games started going down hill when the original 'dream team' that squaresoft had at the time, left. The final fantasy series had a tried and true formula to it. Integral to it was the dream team. They were responsible for numerous other square titles. Chrono Trigger comes to mind. I mean come on. Square-enix just needs to broaden their horizons a bit more.They had some killer titles that they never really followed up on. I don't know if it got any further than the first game but Ergheiz was awesome, and Einhander was really badass, ranking up there with the Gradius series for me. I could go on....but I am too tired.There is a lot of complaining about FF in here, but how would you guys fix it? I've played every one through FFX, and then I got just a little bored with the series. What I think they need to work on is creating better villians. In Role-Playing games, the game is set up to invariably end with a big showdown with some uber-powerful really evil guy. And I just haven't been feeling it since 7.My favorite villians were Sephiroth (just because the guy was a complete stallion) and then Kefka in 6 because I just dispised them both for different reasons. When I am fighting Sin in ten, do I really care if I destroy some huge gelatinous glob? I mean it's nice to save the world and everything, but I don't have a lot of emotion tied into hitting the right wing of some blob as big as the titanic.Just a thought.-Tip

I'm waiting for a revolution when it comes to FF. Each game seems to add maybe one or two new things. I'll buy XII on priciple along with many other of Squenix's games. Personally, I got a kick out of Kingdom Hearts more than any of the FF games after 7.Looking forward to that game more than FFXII.

Not me. And Final Fantasy was suppose to be Squaresofts last making seeming they were going bankrupted but it became a hit so they kept making it.

i am so tired of Final Fantasy, since X came out there's been not much to keep me wanting more. FFXI bored me, as I've played much better MMORPG's and FFX-2 just made me angry. The only ones I could play over and over would be FFVI and FFIX.

Of course I am disapointed. The story lines simply dont even compare to the great earlier rpgs aka crono trigger to the brilliant final fantasy 7. I think the plot lines have reduced for the compensation of the great graphics but if they can make another character you can get into and have the ps2 or even better ps3 graphics with a badass jawdroping donkey-kicking brutality massacre of aswomeness then I will be intrested in the next if a next ff is made till then I am dissapointed and frustrated with the

lol, final is just in the name. And Final Fantasy games have done soo many types of battle modes that I don't think you can say that. Not all of them are turn-based..I hate it when people look at one or two things and say that's all it has to offer.

square-ENIX made X-2... ENX toatally bought squaresofts standards down... when it was just squaresoft they made decent games but the enix side is just in it for the money nowIs anyone sick of the final fantasy series or all those RPGs(?) from square? I'm just so sick and tired of non-tactical turn based and cheesy j-idol anime. When will it all be really FINAL?

i've only played FF7 and FF8. luved them both! but everyone seems to h8 the rest of the series. luckily those r the two games that were good until the series went bad.

the final in final fantasy was named coz squre thought they would just go bankrupt after those bad game sales...thus "final"well..it don seems so anymore:)

hehe, yeah. But the "final" part really worked, got its sales pitch up again.And I personally don't think it's gone downhill too much. I hear so many people say that FFX was bad. But I thought it was pretty good....course, it may have something to do with me not playing FFVII yet... which every says is the best. I probably should go buy it sometime... In the meantime, though, I like FF.

First at all FFVII is overhyped. The best thing from VII is Sephirot, an enemy one can truly hate. I've never been dissapointed with a single FF game so far, not even with IX (which I've seen a lot of people dislike for whatever reason). We'll see how XII stands since it has probably the greates changes on FF title so far (FFXI is a different story with all the MMORPG madness). And Advent Children is a freaking movie, not a game.

I've been tired of Final Fantasy Games since I beat 9. But I still beat 10 and 10-2 and just recently bought Chrystal Chronicles and now feel as if I'm forced to play these games just to keep up with the series that I love but dying slowly in me.

I loved everything till ff7, cause the hype of ff8 just killed the the series. After that, they werent that bad, 9 and 10, but just didnt care too much when they came out, and 10-2 was fun but the story was lame. I liek the old school ones, parasite eve, xenogears, and brave fencer. Most of their newer stuff, drakenguard and fullmetal alchemist, ill take a big pass on. Im more of a namco fan now.
