i got it because it was new, and it had the double screen, and you can chat. the distance isn't too far, but like if you're on a road trip, with people in two cars right near each other, it's great.

I finally got one when the games for it finally got interesting and actually fun to play

I bought mine for the games and the stylus control. Plus, I'm a total Nintendo fanboy, so half the stuff they make I'll buy.

I've been a Nintendo fan for quite a long time. I had every handheld and this was the next one on my list. I was interested to see what the touch screen could pull off and I got it when everyone thought it was a gimmick.

I bought a DS when the LITE version came out, and the price was right. Resident Evil DS was my main attraction.

What an easy question! The DS won me over with all the awesome software it has! From new Super Mario Bros to Mega Man ZX, the handheld has it all! I love it!

I would buy one if i could afford it, my friends have DS's, but that isn't why i want one...Cause I lost my GBa and a friend was selling it cheap with a bunch of extra stuff like games and all.

Funny story. I was lining up to buy the pre-order for the wii (second to last one in line to get the wii). As to my surprise. EVERYONE, i mean EVERYONE had a nintendo DS list in line. I kinda felt out of plaec since I haven't bought a handheld since the Gameboy pocket came out ages ago. So I ended up preordering the wii and bought a ds with it too. Now I am part of the nintendo family.. haha. All of my systems that I've bought so far has been with Nintendo.
