I bought it because it was a Nintendo system. I'm glad I did, it has quite alot of variety.

I had all nintendo portables since the very first gameboy..... couldn't miss this one.

same as subzerofreeze.got it for the R4. psp is an option but the size of each game and the size/price of memory sticks just turn me off.

DS have touch screen and dual screen.Beside, I just want to play the newest megaman series(ZX and starforce) that only in DS.^^

Because the whole family can use it - educational games as well as all the usual PSP stuff.Cheaper also!!
I'm curious as to why you all bought a DS, please be specificas to what made you buy it.

I was in Japan, had wanted a DS for ages, the DS Lite wasn't out in the UK and had enough remaining money. So I bought one.
