Because I already got PSP and DS have wifi so you can play online, which is so so so so so so so sweet and that there is no workable emulator and I cannot wait to play so many games

Several reasons I bought mine1) I like new toys2) The gba screen was too reflective in sunlight and it was hard to see on the train, plus couldn't use regular headphones3) Nintendo seem to have got gaming right in this round of consoles and I wanted in on the action4) Brain Training (man do I need it!)5) Mario 64 DS

i bought mine because:1) it was on sale and bundled with mario karts which is one of the best games ever2) Pokemon3) 2 screens are better than one4) touch screen5) picto chat

Well i don't have a ds lite but am buying one after i buy my wii, But i like it because u can use the internet adapter for both wii and ds also i just spend 250$ on ds lite , R4 and Micro SD card so i dont have 2 buy games:P

i cant really remember, i think i bought one as an act of overpowering or revenge if u call it. b4 i had the ds i hated the system, wen nintendo first introduced the ds, it looked crap compared to my gbaSP but soon more and more games for the ds caught my interest and nintendo also introduced DS-Lite which furthers my interest unlike the ugli ds original. my cousin went off and bought the next generation of handheld b4 me, the PSP and everyone liked it, so i thought i play a lil competition, so i bought myself a ds-lite a few weeks later, i was a lil worried at first coz technically the psp is better. Now everyone seems to have more fun on the DS more than the PSP which then i was real happi, it just proves that im better =P lol untill he decides to get one too lol. After a period of time the ds is becoming hugely popular and so i really like the system for its games. DS FTW !!!

I got the DS 'cause I have always loved Nintendo's products, don't care for the PSP's battery life and games, and finally, to play Jump Superstars and Jump Ultimate Stars (the only thing I do with my DS besides using my Max Media Dock.)

Well... cheaper than a PSP, more intelligent games, dual sgreen, size, ability to play GBA games...what more does a dude need?I'm curious as to why you all bought a DS, please be specificas to what made you buy it.

I love the new gameplay. Touchscreen and the fact that it's portable.
