Cuz I like touch screens, and the DS lite looks really sleek and stylish in my opinion

I found out about the DS since it was only a Proyect, I got interested because it was something new and different, it took videogaming to a new place.I bought it because I love portable videogames and the touch screen had (and still has) a lot of potential...

mainly cus i didn't have a gameboy or anythign and I wanted a handheld for long trips in the car, plus I knew tons of sweet crap would come out for it.

went to genting not long ago... wanted to have something to do on the trip there... but i was happy that i chose NDS... =)I'm curious as to why you all bought a DS, please be specificas to what made you buy it.

all about the touch screen man, the touch. was thinkin bout a psp for a long time but then seen a ds and the touch screen blew me away, love that kind of gameplay

I got a DS because a PSP was far too expensive and there were too many games that I liked out already (and many more to come i expect)

I bought mine for Animal Crossing. Then the release date got pushed back, and I ended up not getting Animal Crossing for a good 6 months after purchase. I bought games to tide me over, and I'm really glad I did. DS is a great system.

I thought the touch screen was cool, and I wanted the games that were coming out. Plus, I gave my GBC away, and my GBA broke... D:

It looked way more entertaining than a psp and also looked like it had very innovative gameplay capabilities

I bought one because it was the next handheld to come out in the nintendo line. I thought the mic and dual screean with the touch sreen werre awesome
