Cause I've played with friends at Advance Wars and it was so cool that I've bought one. I'm also fan of RPG such as Final fantasy so I just need to have it.

Because I'm a die hard nintendo fan and forsee myself buying every origional nintendo console/handheld. (Not like the DS light, though I do have an SP)

I needed a portable game system and the ds just looked awesome haha. That or peer pressure. Same thing really.

It was a spur of the moment purchase. I saw a Mario red special edition DS Lite at Best Buy yesterday, and I thought it was too cute to pass up! I always wanted a DS, but always made excuses for why I shouldn't buy one (i.e. don't have the time, too expensive). But, I just caved in and got one mainly because I'm looking forward to the Kingdom Hearts game coming out in the future.

I bought a DS to play Pokemon Diamond, but now I just use it to play TWEWY because Pokemon Diamond wasn't that good...

Hah. It was actually to play the pokemon games at first. Soon it evolved into me getting Phoenix Wright and other DS games that I had grown accustomed to.

Got the DS to replace my GBA and then I waited like 2-3yrs for Pokemon lol But one of the biggest reasons was chargeable battery and light screen.

my first DS, was the from my friend, and he got it when it first came out but ended up getting a new one cause it was barely hanging on one of its connecters.Pokemon Diamond had just came out, and being the diehard fan he was, INSISTED i play against him, and i really wanted to play but didnt want to actually go buy the game cause im old, lol.so i was like "id get the game, but got no DS!!!" and then hes like "Here!" and throws his old one at me, lol.

i bought a DS because i have an hr train ride every day and i needed a good source of entertainment. plus i love the game for it and the playing style. honestly, the mike and stylus put this system above the PSP because it makes games wayyyyy more interactive and original.

As stupid as it sounded, ZX was my reason. I've always been a big fan of all things Megaman (except the overrated Starforce, which is the most focused on series in the eyes of Capcom...), and ZX was just too much for me to pass up just because of new hardware. So I hawked one of my SP's, some old GBA games and saved up the rest for a nice little DS Lite. 
... Lucky me, someone got me one for my birthday. 
So all that saving up went to ZX and New Super Mario Bros. *thumbs up*

i bought it expressly so i could play pokemon and mario bros games....by far the best games ever made, for any console/handheld!
