I got it for Christmas, I really just wanted to play Harvest moon and Pokemon. Also got it to play animal crossing with my girlfriend!

Well since i was a kid i had nes and played duck hunt and a gba and snes so since i kid i have been a fan boy but being the age i am i don't have money to get a bunch of systems so i decided to get a ds because i can play my GBA games and i can play NDS games with or without a R4 or what ever other card

I don't have one but I played one @ my friend's house, and it is super-awesome, check out the main functions if you buy oneI'm curious as to why you all bought a DS, please be specificas to what made you buy it.

socializing with friends and there are lots of games that are fun to play while you're waiting for something or traveling etc etc.

I really didn't buy it but I asked my auntie for the DS because it looked very cool with its dual screen and touch screen features. And because when I borrowed the DS of my cousin one time, I got so addicted to it that I wanted to have one for my own.

I bought mine for pokemon diamond/pearl (granted I got mine quite a while before d/p came out but I knew a poke game would come out eventually.) Oh, and, for the Harvest Moon series

I bought mine when all my friends were having DS parties and saying "Well, you COULD come if you had a DS". Ended up just buying it from EB.

Wow, same!I don't see people that are Pokemon AND Harvest Moon fans, too often. I bought 2 for my kids for when we are travelling. Talk about a god-send.and I must admit that I borrow them when I know I am going to be sitting waiting for quite a while.It makes a nice change from reading 5 year old magazines in the doctors office.

I wanted something portable I could use to bus journeys to pass the time. In actual fact I rarely play it on the bus/train.
