I actually bought a DS for the homebrew drawing program Colors. It seemed about the same as a stylus, and I could play games on it. I did eventually end up playing games more, though.

I bought the DS because its different and you get to interact more with the game. The WiFi idea really influenced my decision as well, because thats an extra challenge even after you see a game's credits roll.

I bought a DS because my GBA was dying. Most of the buttons on it wouldn't work anymore or only worked half the time, so I decided to spend some extra money and get a DS instead of a SP. The thought of a new Advance Wars, Fire Emblem and Zelda also helped me decide to get a DS instead of the PSP.

Haha, same reason here. That and I had to get to the new Castlevanias =)

I got my DS because at the time, I thought the touch screen looked so fresh and new from your run of the mill hand held, and to this day, I was right. Unfortunately my PSP has been getting a lot of attention though (Dissidia lol), but I still love my DS.

I bought the DS because I wanted Nintendogs originally. After that I began getting hooked on the other games. Plus me and My sis are game addictives and we were already after it. At first mom got me a Normal Ds then last year I gave it to my cousin and both me and sis got Ds lights >:3 My sis got it for Diamond and Pearl...

I received my DS Lite as a Christmas gift. It was the blue device. I ended up exchanging it for the onyx and it looks awesome. My two brothers and I each have a DS so we link up in Animal Crossing. It sounds lame (especially since I'm in college) but it is a blast. It sure brings me back to the days of playing AC on the Gamecube.I picked up Elite Beat Agents for 10 dollars on eBay and have found a lot of enjoyment in it. Then I saw it at ShopKo for under eight dollars. I almost picked up two copies for my brothers.I had never wanted a DS until I opened it on Christmas. It was a complete surprise to me and I really like it. It certainly has a surplus of good titles. I've got my eye on Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff. I'd like one of my other brothers to pick it up at the same time so we can play together.

DS has a wider variety of games than the PSP. Better graphics than GBA. The pink lite is soo cute.

I got mine so I could play against my wife and kids. We all like to take them with us on trips. We travel frequently so they help kill the boredom.

The DS Lite is my first video game player of any kind. I bought it after reading lots of reviews. I liked the idea of the touch screen; I liked that it had a folding cover that protected the screens; I liked the price; I like the games. I'm very very happy with it.

I was debating whether or not to buy a PSP or DS... But the DS was definitely more cuter and touch screen! And I'm also a big fan of Nintendo... I'm glad that I bought my DS instead of the PSP...
