I waited until the advent of the DS Lite and the library of games to really take off, but mostly it was for all the portable Castlevania goodness!! ;)

I bought it along with yugioh world championship 2008. The WiFI capabilities to always play with someone online a plus. I loved it even more when I found out about R4 and .brew apps!!! like painting in the touch screen!! ALL A GEM!

I got a DS for two reasons: My GBA broke, and I wanted several of the games on the DS.

I bought one because...well, I didn't have much to play and I figured I might as well play a DS since I had a GBA already.

I bought a DS because its size makes it compact to carry around.

In 2005 I lost my GBA, instead of buying a new one I thought it would be better for later to buy directly a DS (and so I don't have the lite one and the mic is hard to access while watching screen)

i hate to wait and DSL really helps me in killing the waiting time, while taking trains / bus home, and also it has all the old school games like super mario. Brings back good childhood memories!

My son wanted to sell his ds and get a psp. no one responded to the craigslist ads for the ds we put up for 6 weeks. I bought it from him. I did not play it but a couple of times before I bought it. Now I play Japanese games and "study" japanese on it.

As a Pokemon fan, I have bought a NDS because: 1. I can't find any suitable NDS emulator2. I wanted to play Pokemon Pearl and Diamond3. PSP game titles did not interest me muchI had quite a lot of joy in playing PD, but since then I have played several other great NDS games, such as AWDOR, and Professor Layton and the Curious Village.Looking forward to the release of Pokemon Platinum (English version).

Originally, to be honest, I only bought my first nintendo DS because after searching for my gameboy for about a month, i discovered that not only did my brother steal it and hide it, but he also broke it. I figured that since i was getting a new one, i might as well upgrade. I have been satisfied with the DS since then and would not go back if i had to.
