To play the DS specific games, like Pokemon D/P and Phantom Hourglass. 
It turned out to be a good console on its own, actually.

I bought a DS 1-2 year's ago and sold it 1 year ago..:laugh:Sadly, but i needed a new mobile :$I loved it, i really like/love pokemon game's

I was at first going to settle with emulating any DS games I wanted to play, but a bunch of my friends at college liked to play mario kart together through wi-fi. I wanted to join in, so I grabbed myself a DS.

I bought a DS to make my cousin jealous and also my SP wa dying so I though "hey might as well upgrade" and I had that DS for three years before it Fell. I got my DSi because that very same DS died on me dont get it wrong it still work just my D-pad is wonky and my R button want cooperating also the LED light thing broke off but it still works I call it the Acient One now and my DSi is a dream

I bought a DS lite because in the car on really long trips, it was boring all the way. I also did it, not only did I do it to stop getting bored every time I went in the car, to replace my Gameboy Advanced which needed new batteries non stop. The power in the thing died after half an hour, and there was me on six hour journeys. The DS however is a lot more reliable than the Gameboy, so there are the many reasons to why I bought my DS.

The real reason i bought my ds was because the psp color i wanted was out of stock. But anyway, i don't regret it because i can download lots of games if i cant find it in stores!

The DS is good for me whenever I'm somewhere and whatever's going on is getting VERY boring. That way I can just pull out my DS from my pocket and WHAM-O! Instant entertainment! :]

Really when i was younger i was really into pokemon and i decided to get a ds for my B'day just for that game but when i heard about Advance wars 3 that what made my opinion decided that i would definetly get one

I love everything about the DS. I got it because of the touch screen. Most new games are on the DS lol.

I got the ds because im a longtime fan of nintendo. I didnt know anything about it until i got it. I trusted nintendo. I upgraded to the dsl, droped it and my favorite game in saltwater, and got the dsi! im using the dsi to type this message now.
