bought one for our eldest child then younger 2 got playing so had to buy another 2 ds consoles for them...the mrs luvs it too so she will want one soon :dance:

My brother in law got one, and it looked cool. Then my nephew got one. Then the Pokemon games got onto it and I thought, that took a while, and bought one so I could play them. =P

To play Pok�mon, because since my childhood I wanted to play, but never could and because I got tired of having to wait my sister had to leave the classroom and distract me in that waiting timeOuvirLer foneticamente

It looked cool and has a touch screen. Main reason why i bought it when it first came out. I also heard that there would be Pokemon games on it.

Honestly? I bought the DS so I could get Pokemon Diamond. The game sold me on the system.

Because it's Nintendo and I had to have it, so launch day I had it. Likewise with DSi however with DS lite it was because it fitted into my bag better than the original DS as well as it being Nintendo.

i was going on a long trip and wanted something to take up my time. i was considering a psp but it was too expensive. and then i found out that i could get a flash cart for my ds and play all sortsa roms including old school nes games and stuff. that pretty much sealed the deal

I wanted it because I just really like touch screens. I was like seven or something and it was like the future to me, you know? Science fictiony almost. The way the orginal looked just added to that, it looked like data analyser or something. I think I spent more time pretending to be Captain Kirk with it than actually playing it when I was a kid... But yeah, I got it because it looked straight out of an Asimov novel.

I bought the DS cause my brother persuaded me against the PSP, other than that I compared the price and the games and some of the accessories. The DS already had some good Multi-player games like Advance Wars (all of them), Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and etc. There are also some good single player games like Fire Emblem, Rune Factory 2 & 3 (Personally I like it, not sure its really the fun game in general), Mario, Disagea, etc.
