Pretty much for the new experience, then the high quality library of games. First time I get over 50 games for a console, that should say something.

I was interested in the lineup of games that they had set out for the DS, also I needed a new portable console because the GBA SP was out of date. Loving my DS ever since, had the fat DS since it came out, it still working great

the DS touch screen was such a new thing back during that time, so that was what drew me in most. nothing else back in the day had that except for the DS.

Cause all my friends had one and I wanted to be able to play games with them - not a great reason but I've come to love it.

I got it from my grandparents for christmas.i wanted it because i didnt have a GBA SP,and at the time that new technology seemed interesting. later while camping, (in 8th grade, 4 years ago)my ds gor soaked, and it never worked after that, a friend stole it, fixed the battery, told me he had it, sold it, and cried when i went and told his mom about it,(he still owes me a ds).oneday someone at the dealership sold a car, and when they do that they are told to makesure that all valuables are out of the car, or else they belong to the shop.my dad cleaned and fixed the car up, and found me a blue DS.ive been using it ever since, and i kept it because my Girlfriend offered me her extra r4

I bought it off a friend 3 years ago for $40... along with a case and several games. Great deal. And it was the DS Lite as well.

i bought a DS because i found the concept to be intriguing. still being a fan of GBA games as well, i was pleased to be able to enjoy new games and my old favorites on the same system ^^

personally, i bought a DS for two reasons. the first being that it was popular and the best handheld at the time, the second reason being i had lost my gameboy SP and was going to get a new one anyway

I learned of the DS and it sounded like a cool gaming console so I got it. And the rest is history.

Because it's nintendo and nintendo is a great brand with great games. It was an upgrade to my GBA.

To play Pokemon and to utilize the gba slot feature, it's really helpful to be able to migrate gen 3 ones. I also bought a flashcart for it, and the usb that comes with it is extremely useful for transferring .sav files for either gba or DS.

I bought my ds because of the possiblity of new pokemon games for ds. i also bought it to play new titles and try out the touch screen. still as in love with it today as i was when i first got it.
