Because I wanted a handheld system and it was a lot cheaper then the PSP

I bought my ds because there are some really good games for it and it can play gba games.

The general concensus last christmas was that it was the superior handheld and was finally supplying the quality games, and I can't say I regret the purchase.

I wanted a PSP originally, but I didn't have enough money. But, I always thought the Nintendo DS was something very cool and innovative. I also always went with Nintendo when it came to handhelds. GB > GBC > GBA > DS

i baught mine just last week, along with pokemon pearl....so i guess you could say i baught it just for pokemon.

I got my DS just for future pokemon games, thought they would release possibly pokemon stadium or snap but sadly never happend

I bought my DS because I wanted a new games' platform. And PSP's were too expensive and fragile for me. And I prefer Nintendo, for their capacity to make games and gameplay evoluate (as seen for tactil screen on NDS and wii caracteristics) and for their reasonnable prices in spite of the fact that this new technology would imply a high price ! If my language seems strange, it's because I translate from my French. Sorry for that. Psychothrope

DS are a great handheld. i bought mine because I could play a large variety of games on it. It's nice because I can use it, and so can my younger siblings. It's a versitile handheld.

I remember on a dark and stormy night...I was begging my dad for SM64When he got it it was broke :'( .SO I made him promise me that if and when a sm64 sequel came out, I'd get. It.The next christmas...SM64 DS CAME OUT!I made him buy it for me as a christmas present and from then on, I've likd DS.Now I want NSMB

My b/f bought me the Onyx at Game Crazy yesterday...I don't have any DS games for it...Currently playing Sonic Advanced 2 and Pokemon Fire RedI got one because alot of the furture games I am looking forward to are coming to the DS...and the SP is starting to die for me

I bought a DS because:I trust Nintendo to make top notch hardware.I needed a replacement to my broken GBA.I played my friend's PSP and all the games on it were tear jerkingly boringBut my foremost reason was because I wanted to play Mario Karts DS.

Boy... I bought a DS almost the day it came out only for SM64DS at the time.Then, I discovered the magical world of touch screens and double screens...And playing online against angry people at Mario Kart DS.
