If you want an honest answer and datailed why I got it, well here it is:I just got out of basic trainning, or at least it was the day before graduation. It was family day and my family didn't come so a friend of mine decided to invite me with his family. We went to Wal-Mart and there it was. A camera I needed to buy. I bought it and than decided, "Hey. I'm gonna be on a long trip, so why not get something that's fun?" Growing up with both Sega and Nintendo I wanted games made by them. Sega is slowly diging itself into a whole and Nintendo is kicking donkey now with the Wii. So I looked at the DS. I was thinking of all the great hit to come will be. I was mainly thinking of Pokemon. Than Zelda, Mario, and Pikmin came to mind. A year before my brother got his DS with Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. I love those games and I looked at the PSP. At that time, every one in the Army ( almost every soldier that wasn't a hardcore gamer) usually got the PSP. Usually to watch movies and listen to music. Not so much games. And the games they had out at that time wern't in my tatse of games I usually play. Most of the PSP games are dumbed down versions of a Dream Cast game that's much better in it's original state than on the PSP.Nintendo usually has a lot of fun games, and seeing that their making innovated games and ways I never played before I decided to buy the DS. It was perfect timing too, they had their last DS lite left (the white one may I add) I didn't want the white one because I thought the Black DS they had in Japan was real cool and wanted to wait. But that I thought, maybe I can trade it in or give this one to my brother.Fast forward to today, I still have my DS Lite that I bought that day and having much fun with it. I got several games that I really enjoy.

Um, 2 screens, what more do you need? Nintendo only titles. Still plays gba. Half the price of the paperweight more commonly known as the psp.

i bought a DS cuz all the good games were made on it and they stopped making games for GBA

They still make gba games, the gba sp is still selling in north america and europe, but in japan they stopped production of gba games, and are concentrating on ds, but yeah the ds is great system and with flash carts you can play all the games you want for free, and you can do things that the psp can do albeit at lower quality but you get what you pay for.i bought a DS cuz all the good games were made on it and they stopped making games for GBA

I bought a DS Lite after seeing the trailer for the up coming new Zelda: hourglass game, and Final Fantasy 3. And I have FF3, along with many other awesome games, and I really think I got my monies worth.

i originally wanted a psp.it was way to expensive (and still is).so the price was one of the main factors.and the fact running roms/homebrew is much easier on the ds

I loved it for its multiplayers, super new mario minigames, and tetris ds is too much fun when u play against each other.

I have no DSes at all.I only play it with DeSmuME 0.5.0.I downloaded it becoz i want to play some cool DS Games + I am bored of GBA Games!

i bought it for pokemon pearl and diamond. Also for Snowboard kids, but i was disappointed with that game....

i would have bought a psp but ds doesn't break easily, cost cheaper and has a touch screen
