i bought a ds couse i thought it was a really cool idea with the touch screen and it has alot of my favorite charecters like mario.and now i really love it becouse it can connect to the wii wireissly

I bought it because of Wi-Fi, Animal Crossing: WW, Advance Wars DS, Mario Kart Ds and the various other features and games it comes with.

Bought a DS and PSP at about the same time...my PSP is collecting dust as you would imagine...The DS as soo much more fun

two screens is DOUBLE THE FUN!well actually i learned that its just more frustrating and a bigger eye strain but the game lineup looked cool too.

I got a Version 1. I got a DS because it was (in my opinion) better than PSP, and cheaper.

I wasn't interested in the DS until the Lite came out. I basically bought it because I was tired of the bad streak of PSP games coming out and figured I'd check out some of the original titles on DS.

I wanted a game console....the last one I had was the old grey gameboy 
It was better PSP and DS (obviously)...but the DS sold out....and it has cool colors and looks more sleek!hmmmm.....love the touch screen too

yup, same like yohmaster, to play nintendogs, but there is actually more exciting game than nintendogs, so no regret for buying DS....heheheand i prefer Nintendo's games than playstation's games.Nintendo's are cuter.

I think I got one for stuff like Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright, which is funny because I only just got TC recently, and still haven't picked up PW. Doesn't help that Phoenix Wright is so hard to find cheap.
