N64 finally released and Super Mario 64 came out and blew the world away. PS1 answered back with Tomb Raider. Probably the best 3rd person game ever made. What do you think?

Tomb Raider was just something different (at the time). It certainly was not an answer to Super Mario 64, or at least not the correct answer.

Absolutley not. Tombraider isn't anything special and lacks of free movement space. That's the reason I really hate that game. It's just going from a spot A to a spot B withouth any options and that kind of games are so horrible.

tomb raider was great when it was released, really enjoyed playing it all the way through. Looking fairly dated now though.

This is another game that would be no. 1 if it was turned over to rockstar. But all of the old Tomb raiders get boring after the first five minutes of seeing Lara Bounce up and Down up and Down up and Down Bounce up and Down up and Down up and Down Bounce up and Down up and Down up and Down...

Yeah the game becomes boring at the first few minutes, i don't played Super Mario 64 but it's looks like much better than any Tomb raider for PS1

Tomb Raider wasn't the best PS1 game! Maybe the best one from a third person point of view in a shooting genre, but how many games fit that group?

I don't think TR is a good game. In fact, it's one of the faulty games oin Ps1, especially in the controls department.

tomb raider had good grafix for the console but lara croft and her movements were abit dodgy
