I used to like it until I started to do other stuff... Now I kinda find it pointless to collect cards with cool pictures on them. What really annoys me is the TV show in where your life and the world is decided on a children's card game and they do it on motor bikes. Got that from the abridge series. It is funny.

I like Yu-Gi-Oh. I don't have a deck but I like the game itself and the anime. I mean if you think about it, how is this any different from the other anime out there? For example, Beyblade. Kids saving the world by using glorified tops. It does not need to make sense but if it is fun for the next guy who am I to judge?

I can't reallly say I hate Yu-Gi-Oh. I like the Manga, since it includes a lot more stuff than the monster card game, but I don't know about the anime. Some of it is pure gold, but I don't really watch it anymore, and the 4kids flavor is kind of... how you say... annoying now that I am older.

In all honesty, I still play Yu-Gi-Oh! daily, heck, I even administer a forum dedicated to it.
I see no reason whatsoever to hate it, I appreciate honest and constructive criticism, but strictly saying that you hate it is pure ignorance for me.

As strange as it is, Little Kuribo's Yu-Gi-Oh abridged helped me remember that I used to have a soft spot for it when I was a kid and the first season came out. I really enjoyed the tie to ancient Egypt since I loved all sorts of legends. And I liked a lot of the monster designs. In retrospect, the premise was all kind of ridiculous! But later seasons however...are even more ridiculous than the first, and not in a good way...I personally think the anime should go back to having the card game tie in to some ancient mythology or another. To 12-year old me, it made the series pretty mysterious. I might've picked up the card game, but back then, I wouldn't have had anyone to play with...

Nah I like the first and second seasons but i hate all of its reincarnations (after the third season it should have stopped)

I don't see the point in hating an entire franchise just because people ask if you play. It seems like a waste and the card game isn't that bad. It's relatively easy to learn and pick up and offers a mountain load of strategies to work with. Albeit most players tend to favor specific deck setups which dominate the combination.

Like many of us, I also play Yu-Gi-Oh pretty oftenly. I know it's a bit childish and expensive and people laugh at you when you play it... but if you say you hate it, try playing it before. I used to hate watching sports on TV back when I was a kid and... well I still hate it but less than before.
