I recently bought a Macbook and I can say that it's highly unlikely that I'll ever purchase a windows machine again.

I have both, a desktop PC, Laptop, and a macbook.... PCs are good for one thing and thats gaming, Mac's are good for everything else, i use a mac for my business and personal life, but Gaming strictly PC, i usually dont have them hooked up to the internet either, i download with my mac and transfer over to my pc. SOO much easier.... And webpage design and movie making, which i have to use for my company, so smooth on a mac....But... to each their ownAnd remember Boot Camp only works with specific windows cds, i cant run it on my mac because my windows disc wont work. i have researched it, to an extent, and some discs just dont work...probably will change though.

PC doesn't mean windows. PC means Personal Computer. If we're going to be REALLY pedantic about it, then we'd be talking about Mac, every distribution of Linux, including 3 variants of ubuntu, dozens of variants of redhat, Yellow dog and the entire BSD family, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, not to mention Damn small Linux, UNIX, Apache Linux, AND the various other older operating systems, including but not limited to Windows 3.1 and 95, BASIC, and DOS itself. So frankly, screw that, as far as I'm concerned, its Mac, Vs 'A machine that you can legally install any other operating system on that uses the standard X86 architecture, or possibly a powerPC architecture if you're a server company. Mac. Simpler, more elegant, safer and it's more reliable in most cases.

Mac is a much more stable operating system, but there are too many compatibility issues. Windows is much cheaper and easier to customize. I personally use Mac, but . . . for each his own.

PC's have more freedom and are for those who have more experience with them. Macs are for people who dont know S**T about computers.

What, because it requires an advanced knowledge of computers to get a Windows operating system working correctly?I'm a Mac user, and I still know a bit more about even Windows computers than most of the population. (Ok, that's not saying much but anyway)Edit: Spelling corrections

Go PC!

Yes, it's cheaper, but with Linux only....

PC! Mac is so complicated and has limited number of applications to choose from....

If you have convert software, it's not a problem

How about this, a Windows computer (PC) usually lasts around a year to 2 years for me before they become unusable (slow and unbarable), I have had the same Mac 5 years without a problem, and if it weren't for the fact that it was stolen, I would of still of been using it5 years vs. 2 years, i'd rather get a computer that would last 5 years, and for the fact that Mac hardware can run both natively (legally) now (You can do vice versa and install X86, but not only are you breaking Apple's EULA, you are also breaking the law), i'd go for Mac (or in my case, stick with Mac)The fact that I like Mac better doesn't mean I hate PCs, as a matter of fact, Mac is like the Yin, PC is line the Yang, you need both for perfect harmony

I don't like Mac OS X at all. you almost have to be computer illiterate to operate it.also, Macs are way overpriced.you could buy a decent Mac for the same price you could buy an amazing PC.and considering I don't use either OS X or Windows, I'll go with the cheaper hardware.

It really depends upon what your going to use the computer for.Mac excel in virus portection, and computer graphics.Windows perform better in other areas that mac's don't particulay do well in, such as gaming.I have a windows and a mac, so it's challenging for me to choose a side at times.

Lets make a Pro and Con list for each...Mac Pros: Good for Movies, Video editing, Less VirusesMac Cons: Only has about 6 games, no copy and paste, annoying interface, no upgrading the hardware.PC Pros: Good for gaming, easy to use, Clean interface, highly customizable, has Copy/PastePC Cons: Blue Screen of Death, Viruses. (I've never had either, got me some good anti-virus)Winner: PC!!!! As if you didn't already know that it's better <3
