it is his freaking hat man, its green and floppy, no, really it is because link is like some sort of crazy elf person with a sword, no elves in video games use swords, they only use bows, Link breaks the elf mold, however he does use a bow, secondary weapon it is though.

Jeje, the hat, thas so funny... Ill say because hes so cool, and the way he uses his sword is awesome also. Maybe is the best Nintendo character cause hes in a lot more adventures than anybode else. Great fighter also.

If you think about it you realise that Link is intelligent (solving puzzles) and very strong (could you not get crushed under the pressure of the water temple in ocarina of time). So he is a very rounded character who is humble and kind to others (remember the ending of the legend of zelda: a link to to the past). That is why I think he is such a great character.

Any way plz don't talk about that stuff it's just not cool dude I Think Link is best known because of his great skill in the art of swordsman ship and back flips.People just like that stuff. Also the way the game is played is much better than all other Nintendo games it's just a fact, who wouldn't like beating temples, getting death items + weapons and killing some major death kill bosses.I know I would.
