Very well, but I wanted to make a point. The obsession over Link just doesn't fit. Even if you factor in the alternatives mascots, one being an overly cute dinosaur, another a pink blob, another an androgynous looking woman (Samus), a gigantic ape, and two middle-aged plumbers that might be having mid-life crises...Well, that leaves you Link. He's young, good-looking, smart, strong, good in combat. Link can pull girls. Link can even pull guys, albeit they come in the form of Tingle and Jiro (the carpetner, who says to adult Link, "You're a cute kid"Any way plz don't talk about that stuff it's just not cool dude
).Could it be that people like him because they want to be him?If not, then that leaves the subconscious physical attraction route, but I won't press further on that. Don't want to upset some of my fellow Zelda fans, after all...

I didn't realise my joke would be taken so seriously over here, especially seeing as it went over without a problem in a forum filled with ardent, hard-core Zelda fans.I think the best thing to do now is to apologise to everyone whom I've offended. Last thing I want is an all out flame war. A charred forum is not a pleasant forum.

Nintendo adds depth to their characters. They use them in multifarious games and add personality for Link, Donkey Kong, Mario and other characters such as Peach which makes them loveable by many people around the world.

i believe most people like link because of his possibilities.....link has been able to add all sorts of twist to his stories without barely losing any fans...the zelda series can go further than alot of other games of its type without losing popularity....example (the legend of zelda: the wind waker).

But Link doesn't have much of a personality. That's what I think is so great about him. You can imagine him to have whatever personality you want him to have.Nintendo adds depth to their characters. For me its just that, well its kinda hard to explain, I like him because how he kinda draws you into the game, when you see his face when Zelda is fleeing from hyrule castle, that is why i like him, and how they convey his emotions

yeah i know but thats a good thing i hope there are more zelda games from now on coz i was getting sick of all the other crap on nintendo game cubelink is keeping nintendo alive.
