i think they are nescessary so regardless of liking them or not the world would be a worse mess without them.

I've dated an RCMP officer, so I guess you could say I like cops. But, on the other hand, I have also been harrassed by the police for no particular reason, simply since I was young, with friends, out late at night (and admittedly semi-tanked, but it's not illegal to drink 
) So, I guess you could say that I like some cops, I appreciate that they have a very tough job, etc. But I do find cops that abuse their authority to be pretty freaking awful.There's a nonanswer for ya.

I hate them and like them. I hate them for the same reason as the TC, they always look at you like you're some kind of criminal, and they have a superior attitude when talking to you a lot of the time, the whole, "I'm on the side of the law so treat me like a king or I'll arrest you for disrespect." I once had an officer actually try to have me arrested for disrespecting him, though I was only speaking as I always do.But, I have to give them SOME respect, at least the ones that know what they're doing, because they're really kinda just looking out for themselves when they assume that you could be dangerous, and for the lives of those around them. It's hard to have a cop as a Husband/father/Wife/Mother because you never know if they'll come home alive. So, I can't judge them too harshly, most of them have families and just want to go home to them safely.

I think cops are okay. Add a sense of security, heh.That and they have laptops in their cars!

Depend on the cops because now cops sometimes they think they are superior and they use too much force when catch criminal. Let just say they are not what they use to be they have change for the worse.

Depends on the individual person behind the badge... Everyone's different. I've talked to cops just to make them feel better, but some don't seem to be friendly at all. We need to treat the law with respect when cops are around ,otherwise how would they be able to stand their job. It's a simple process. Law is all legal stuff with big words that no one ever really uses combined into one. It's simple if you look up all the words and 'translate it'.Cops are just doing their job. They work to keep us all safe. They have to do what they are told by their superiors. Just think of them as another form of Cashier, or Postman. They each talk to people at times and have to deliver. I like cops in general, but i think that the media portrays them as bad. The media is usually wrong.

i think anyone in my country would say that every cop should die!!!!!! they dont do anything!!! they beat up innocent people they abuse of everyone, etc...i dont like cops

Heres a little something to wet your appatites. I worked security for several years in the downtown area, so cops/publicsafety/fire fighters were all in the mix. I don't blame them at all for being bitter or egocentric because the boys in blue have to put up with alot of garbage. But some are not in their right minds...The ABC packaging store (liquor store) got hit one night by some looters. The cops showed up after they left. Before the owner arrived to fill out a report, some of the cops were loading liquor into their vehicles. When an annonymous rookie and his FTO roll up and witness this, one of the veteran officers says to the rookie "If you want to grow up around here, you better learn to play nice." Its creepy behind the scenes.

they piss me off! them and ther damn dogs! now i caint even walk in the mall by myself cuz of thier stupid rules ! 18 and yunger caint walk by themselvs without an adult on friday and saturday!

Well, i used to be scared of cops but now i hate them, bcuz they argue with me sometimes when i drive my car, they say 'u cant drive your car at this little age'
