[U.R.N. My Power]

I don't know about other places, but the cops around here are exactly the opposite of what a police officer is supposed to be. Our D.A.R.E. officer (you know, the guy who used to come to our classrooms and tell us not to do drugs so we didn't have to do any work during fifth period?) is known to plant narcotics in the cars of minorities during searches, while he is partially concealed from the dashboard camera, but nobody can get anyone to do anything about it. The people who rented my grandmother's rent house took off without paying rent, and stole a lot of stuff. The cops wouldn't help us catch them. THen, when we locked up the rent house to keep them from finishing their evacuation, the cops got onto US for interfering with their right to their property, and made us unlock it. The renters waited until we were gone, then went back in and stole the rest of grandma's stuff. The cops didn't do anything except tell us not to try to take the law into our own hands. Then, a few years later, I was awakened by shouting. I got up out of my room to find three sherriff's deputies pointing guns at my mother and brother. Skinhead #3 (all three of them were white men with shaved heads) pointed his at me. They demanded to know "which one of" us was some drug-dealer called Ratchet. Mom asked to see their warrant (they had kicked open our door) and they said they didn't need one. A nightmarish half-hour later, they figured out that we weren't going to play their game and left. Besides all that, they have made a hobby out of following people around in their cop cars for miles, waiting for their target to get intimidated and make a mistake so they can pull 'em over, and I never see just one officer at a traffic stop anymore; there's always like four damn cops surrounding one scared little 16-year-old girl and blinding her with their strobes because they like for you to be blind and scared. They despise any camera they don't control, and will arrest you for "interfering with a police investigation" if you record them during one of their power-trips. They'll have two of them issue conflicting orders, and no matter which one you obey, the other one will shoot you.Do I like cops? What do you think?
