Yugioh cards were much more popular than Pokemon with me. They just had so many of them, and the gameplay seemed much more elegant than Pokemon. There were so many different deck strategies that you could choose from, even if you didn't buy 10 packs at a time. Better card game overall, Pokemon is a better video game.

I'll stick with pokemon for two reasons.1) I'm asian2) Pokemon is the most sragitic(sp) card came today

Do you realize that yu-gi-oh is also made in japan? know your facts first please. Also, it requires more strategy than pokemon which is simple in comparison. Oh, and saying that you're asian is kinda racist towards yourself (that doesn't make it ok) and you mispelled strategic, its not sratigic, thats not a word.

Although yugioh has more variety and strategy, its just not as fun as pokemon. either way both are ok and it depends on taste

Well for me would be yu-gi-oh cards. It's much more simpler than pokemon cards. Also in my opinion, i find pokemon cards are only for collecting and not for playing with....

I still have a large collection of both Pokemon and Yugioh. Pokemon for sure, it's a classic collection.

Yu-Gi-Oh! of course! :)I think I'll never get the rules of the Pokémon Trading Card Game D:In my opinion it's even more complicated than Yu-Gi-Oh! - or am I just too dumb too play it? XDWhatever, if think it's fun to collect the Pokémon cards, but playing... no... It's a pain in the ass to collect all the element cards. Yu-Gi-Oh!'s more flexible :hitler:

I like yu-gi-oh cards, for me its simpler in a way because theres no use of damage counters or element cards and in yu-gi-oh there is a lot more strategy to it which I love. I always had fun collecting pokemon cards but never really played the game and never really got it either.

Pssh... Pokemon was the shizz when I was in 1-3rd grade. I never did catch on to Yu-Gi-Oh. My vote is for TEH POKEYMANZ.

Yu Gi Oh! is, in my opinion, better because of the more advanced tactics in it. Pokemon are funner to collect, but in all honesty, Magic is the best TCG out there

I like Yugioh cards over Pokemon cards for a number of reasons, but they each have their pros and cons. For instance, Pokemon seems to offer more versatility than Yugioh. Your "type" of deck and your aim could always range so far, whereas in Yugioh, it always felt so limited when I played. Everyone had a Mirror Force, everyone had a Raigeki, everyone had a Solemn Judgement, everyone had a Gemini Elf or a La Jin (at one point). And then you ask people about their decks, and they always responded with that same stupid answer, "It's a Beat Down deck". Like, what does that even mean anymore? Don't get me wrong, there were some who varied, but even then, those trademark cards remained in every deck until the point where a lot of them got banned. And then the game just kind of fell off. On the flip side, Yugioh seemed more fast paced than Pokemon. It took strategy all and well, but it felt so much less tedious. Pokemon required building up Energies and such, there was a lot more "setting up" that just kind of felt like a drag. You're playing a card game, after all, there's only so much excitement you could get out of something like that. Yugioh, while it required it's own "setting the traps" phase and all, seemed a lot less tiresome. It allowed you to kind of just stay in the midst of the battle every turn. If you didn't, you lost.So yeah, I don't know, both had their things, but I preferred Yugioh. Maybe that's for nostalgic reasons... Going to tournaments and such.

I liked Yu-Gi-Oh when there were not so many damn cards, and you can actually create a firm strategic deck. Now they have a counter for everything and they just keep making more useless and stacked cards. When I collected pokemon cards, I only used them for trading to get those cool looking shiny ones, that's about it.

I would say Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I've out grew pokemon cards years ago and also Yu-Gi-Oh for that matter. But found Yu-Gi-Oh more enjoyable and much more strategic as well. Matches seem to last longer too. For me there was more of a challenge playing against my friends in a Yu-gi-oh game then with pokemon.
