I've played both for quite some time and I've had some difficulty deciding which I like better, so its come down to this.Yu-gi-oh:looks more complicated, but it often turns into a game of traps and instant win cards. This is what I have experienced from when my friends and i used to play.Pokémon:To me I have found this game to be more complicated and strict, but fair play. Each player must have 60 cards, no more no less. You can't just put a pokémon out and start attacking your opponent right away, you need energy. They both can be pretty complicated actually, but with yu-gi-oh there are some combos that just seem unfair and unbeatable, but with pokémon there is usually a fair chance to at least do some damage to the other pokémon. My vote is going to have to go to pokémon, even if I did play yu-gi-oh more often, but that is only because my friends didn't know how to play pokémon cards.

Pokemon cards. Are you kidding? So much more classic.Well, I guess if you actually wanted to play a card game then it would be Yu-Gi-Oh.

Pokemon wins. I never really liked the yu-gi-oh show because it was harder to follow but the Pokemon show was simple so I liked it better

I was an avid collector and player of both games and here is my analysis.PokemonMore wildly a "collector" item than a playing oneStill the only TCG I've ever played where flipping coins is an integral part of game play.I was constantly frustrated at the lack of people who actually knew how to play.Cards are limited to the number of pokemon (excluding trainers, energies, and variations on pokemon i.e. Dark Charizard.)Pokemon is more shinyYu-Gi-OhI've never met a person who just collects yu-gi-oh cards but doesn't playConstantly evolving with new TCG rules that ban or limit cards in order to keep game play fair and funCards are constantly coming out and if you can think of an effect you want for your deck there is probably a card out there that will suit your needsThere are plenty of people who know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh and do so quite wellThere are very nice Yu-Gi-Oh games that simulate the card game very well although AI can be lacking at times. You can say epic things like "Your Move" and "You've activated my Trap card (Kiba)"Yu-Gi-Oh generally involves more strategy and has limitless combinations and deck possibilities. So all in all I'd rate Yu-Gi-Oh as a much better card gameof course Pokemon is more shiny...

I think Yu Gi Oh is a lot better than poke'mon cards cause it isn't just a game/anime they happen to change into a random card game

I like yugioh cards better. The art is better and the game makes more sense.

That's a pretty difficult question. I've played both of them in tourneys and i think that they're about even. Yu-Gi-Oh is for more advanced, strategical thinkers. Pokemon is for younger, more sparatic people.

I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Pokemon cards I've never been able to understand, and that franchise would be better off with the video games.

Yu Gi Oh cards are cooler looking than Pokemon cards, that much is true. How ever, I haven't seen Yu Gi Oh on tv in god knows how long, so I'm pretty sure Pokemon is going to last forever.

I like pokemon cards because they look cool, they are easy to read, and the card game is simple, for me at least.

Oh, I remember my friends asking me that a looooong time ago. Personally, I perfer Yu Gi Oh, the way you play seems a lot easier for me to understand!I like the video game better than having actual cards, you won't lose it as often. And you don't need to keep track with how many you have!

yu gi oh cards were better at first but now i think that the system is a little ridiculous. But not as ridiculous as pokemon so I'd still have to say Yu-Gi-Oh is better.

I would have to go for yu gi oh because there are cooler cards, they have more monster cards, and they are just more interesting. I don't like the new pokemon and yu gi oh cards tho they are not that cool.
