Definitely Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I love the artwork, the rules of the game, and they seem much more fun to collect. Kind of like Magic cards...

The only ones I ever played with were Pokemon...I never got into Yu-Gi-Oh.

back then when we played cards pokemon TCG players outnumbered yugioh TCG players and i chose to go with the group that had more so I chose pokemon...well that and i used to watch pokemon when it was a lot cooler...

pokemon is just too cool. and the card explanaitions are fairly simple. each spell/trap card in yugioh is a paragraph long. i imaine im learning a crap load of english if i continued to play that.

Both are good. but pokemon card is harder than yu-gi and yu-gi new cards are better than old card so much, i vote for yu-gi

I'm going with Pokemon...I'm more interested in Pokemon video games and stuff. Also Yu-Gi-Oh cards are really complicated. Pokemon rules!

Although I had both yugioh and pokemon cards, I never really got to play pokemon, everyone at my school was more a collector than a battler (truth is barely anyone had enough energy cards to battle in the first place). So I'm going to go with yugioh, that united the every class of elementry school together, you could just walk out and there would be at least three other kids from different classes ready to battle with you.I will admit that I do have the gbc(?) rom for the pokemon card game and played a few rounds of it with a friend a few months ago, but the strongest monsters in yugioh just take 2-3 turns to summon and can easily be defeated through magic, while in pokemon a zapdos can be played instantly, but takes 4 turns (at least) to get it working, provided you have the right cards and a charizard takes 3 turns to summon, 1-4 to reach full potential and can only attack every second turn.

Well if you are asking for an opinion I'd say probably Yu Gi Oh cards only because I like the detail of the pictures and the holi-graphic effect they use more so than those of the Pokemon cards.

I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh cards, they were the pioneer for all card games, and seems to be still going strong. The Pokemon card game, well, I haven't heard how strong it's nowadays...

Although the problem with it, or at least from what I am told, is that there are too many situational cards coming out. Yugio for a few resons1) Cards are created, not modeled after pretend animals.2) Theres more cards, which allows for more strategy.3) The artwork, artists can be totally original when creating thier cards, they dont have to create a rendition of someone else's work.

it's obvious, yu-gi-oh is better, pokemon isn't even supposed to be a card game, i didn't even see any pokemon cards...so yu-gi-oh is better! it must be!

Pokemon is awesome, but Yu-Gi-Oh is just a better card game. It's much more substantial and strategic IMO.

I would also have to side with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards over Pokemon cards. I prefer my games to involve my skill more than relying on the graces of Lady Luck, though both play a part in either game (yes she does, draw probability = a form of luck). I do however believe that Pokemon could do with having another TCG game made, which I certainly would go out and buy just to see what the game is like after the days of Base 2.

I've played both, and while I agree Yu-Gi-Oh has more strategy too it, I always thought Pokemon was a more fun game to play.
