I like yu-gi-oh cards better. Simply beecouse I hate the energy cards need in pokemon. And also becouse I like to play card games at the DS rather than spending lots of real money on cards, and the only pokemon card game available is really old. :channel:

I prefer YuGiOh. Pokemon is on rotatino like Magic, and I really don't want to constantly buy new cards for a game that doesn't have a lot of tournaments available. ALso the new cards in Pokemon are so much stronger it is ridiculous, but this is true for all card games. When I played with my friends who had new cards it was, draw draw draw draw atatck draw draw. Basically drawing a ton of cards. And there all pokemon have stronger attacks, high damage + high heal for grass is just too much. Maybe actually playing would show otherwise, but my friend said the game was basically just a few top decks.

Hmm I am mixed, since I do like them both. I like the ruels to Pokemon better (since I have a better chance at making a good Pokemon deck then a yugioh one, since the yugioh ones tend to make some new rules and cards that break older rules all the time) But the art on the yugioh cards are so detailed, its pretty~ (Though the Pokemon cards are cuter... so I guess Pokemon wins)

Personally I think Pokemon is a card game where who ever is the richest wins.I mean if you have money you can buy all those rare Pokemon and trump everyone.Yu-Gi-Oh On the other hand is a little bit more competitive but still the richest wins.So I think Yu-Gi-Oh would be better for older player and collectors and Pokemon for the younger generation.

I think Yu-gi-oh because I think it is more complex and I like complex things more than simple things.

Yu-Gi-Oh cards appeal more to me than Pokemon Cards, because the original Pokemon system (the RPG style) makes Pokemon Cards feel limited in what they could truly do, whereas Yu-Gi-Oh is completely a card game, and a good one at that. And it's simple: Summon, Attack, Counter or Enhance with Spells and Traps. As the series evolves so do the way the cards work. Pokemon TCG? just new Pokemon, or Pokemon variants, and you need to use Energy Cards which is annoying.

Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

As far as collection goes, Pokemon. If you're looking for an interesting battle (with several cheap trup cards), Yu-Gi-Oh!

The only problem with BOTH of them is keeping track of the points/hp.

I've played the Pokemon TCG semi-competitively, so by default I'll say Pokemon. In general, I like the card art better, though that on its own is a silly reason. While they're different beasts entirely, one point of comparison I can think of is that Yu-Gi-Oh keeps old seasons of cards active, whereas Pokemon rotates cards out. This puts pressure on the metagame and rules out the possibility of combinations of new and old cards upsetting balance.I play them both casually at this point, though.
