Pokemon cards. They have rare versions of them in the smaller packages and I really like it because one time I got a shiny dragonite on steroids...

even though I have many pokemon cards, I'd have to say that yugioh is a more strategic card game and involves magic and trap cards. However pokemon involves the uses of energy cards and trainer cards and involves finding weaknesses and doing damage based on attack priority, flipping coins and special ability... I guess yugioh is a tad better than pokemon but, in my book, it just depends what I want to play at that moment... x:D

I'd have to say Yu Gi Oh cards as it has more of an strategic style to the gameplay as well as a variety of different ways to win whereas Pokemon requires energy to attack and is as easy as getting enough energy to wipe out your opponent.

I love Pokemon far more than I like Yu-Gi-Oh. However, I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh Cards to Pokemon Cards. (I never got the hang of Pokemon Cards)

I own a personal Yu-Gi-Oh deck. It's really a lot easier to carry around and play when you like it, since it doesn't require a giant stack of energy cards on top of your 'monster' cards. Also, the constant coin flipping was getting so annoying@But I really like the pokemond cards videogames, since it does that stuff automatically, for you.

Pokemon cards were really fun to collect, while yugioh cards were more practical, I actually used to play with them.

Yu Gi Oh cards for sure. While the Pokémon have a certain appeal, I find the monsters in Yu Gi Oh to be a bit more 'mature' in their appearance. As for the game play itself, the addition of trap cards and magic cards to be a much more interesting feature. While energy and items do exist in the Pokémon game, I don't feel that they are varied enough to stand up to the magic and traps of Yu Gi Oh.

I like the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards over the Pokemon cards. The Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, just has more strategy. That is, the special requirements to do certain actions forces the player to think the next move ahead. The second reason is that I like that they knew some cards would be to powerful in turnament play and put in the banned, limited, semi-limited lists. With the Pokemon trading card game, there are quite a few cheap cards that could tip the game.

Yu-Gi-Oh cards have a basis in our world while Pokemon does not. I will always support the Yu-Gi-Oh cards over Pokemon cards for this reason.

I play both, so I can say that I think Yugioh is a better card game because it has more substance. The card games are surprisingly similar in that the monster make the deck yet many decks use the same meta cards. I feel like I can do more in Yu-gi-oh then I can do in pokemon. That's mostly because Yu-gi-oh is overly complicated and chaotic. Still, I like the fact that I can buy packs in pokemon and enjoy what I get instead of praying for something decent amongst a giant pile of garbage cards. You sort of stop investing in Yu-gi-oh and start playing a card stock market while to try to map out deck profits and feeling like a poor man.Pokemon is very cheap, Yugioh is very expensive. I can go on and on really.Edit: The art in Yu-gi-oh can be disgustingly lazy. The art in pokemon is fantastic, you even get to see who illustrated the card, similar to magic.

Yugioh cards ftw; most everything about them is better. Just because 50% of the cards people use in their decks is the same, doesn't mean the other half is the same either. I've never played a single game of yugioh without being challenged mentally. Pokemon has just been too easy: put energies on pokemon, use attacks. Yugioh has much more strategy.Besides, even if you summon a really powerful monster, it still has a chance of dying, whereas if you play a strong pokemon, it'll win the entire battle for you.I know they've tried to even them out by sometimes using up energies, but still, yugioh is just more fun to play :haha:
