Magic. Pokemon was made for little kids, as was Yu-gi-Oh... I say to hell with them both.

Magic > Yugioh >= PokemonPokemon is one of the worst TCG imo, it's way too simple and comboes are rare and overused... There is also the fact that you can do absolutely nothing during your opponent's turn, only waiting, waiting and more waiting. Overall, strategy wise, it's quite weak, I'm still playing since some of my friends are but I've stopped collecting, I read about the new cards once in a while but there isn't much about strategy, it's really predictable the range of cards people would use.Yugioh got slightly better strategy with the concept of Magic and Trap which is about the equivalent of Spell and Instants of MTG. I never collected but I used to use one of my friends' cards to build decks to play and used to play the gba games. Tehre are a lot of effective Magic and Traps but not many good combinations among them, they tend to work more individually. I absolutely hate the concept of summoning monsters, I find bringing them out rather too easy (and there are lots of cards with side effects to bring stronger ones out), it makes the game slightly boring. The Special Summoning I hate the most was the Fusion one, you can suddenly bring one heck of a crazy monster out of no where if you only have the cards needed in your hand, not even one needs to be summoned first, that was stupid. Fission and Trap Hole working on flying monsters was the stupidest thing ever. Although strategy is better than Pokemon, once you see a few cards of your opponent's deck, guessing the theme and having an idea of the rest of cards isn't that hard, it kinda spoils the fun.I personally don't play Magic, my brother does, he often gets me to play against him with his own decks so I kinda grasp the basics of the game there. I find Magic the most complicated strategy wise. There was Creature Abilities, Enchantements, Instant, Spells, Artifact, tones of different cards which can work together creating lots of interesting comboes. You never know what your opponents might come up wih since there are almost an unlimited amount of comboes cards could form although there are some really known and popular.

I never tried magic the gathering, but I play a lot of yu-gi-oh !I go to tournaments each month and to me, there's a lot of strategy involved.A lot of cards that seem to have no good effect can get real dangerous when you know with what to use it. I'll give you a simple exemple :The magic card "Gather your mind" :It allows you to go get another "gather your mind" in your deck and reshuffle your deck. Alone, it's pretty useless but with the monster "Magical marionnette" it can turn in a nightmare..You see, "magical marionnette" gains a counter each time a magic is played either by you or by your opponent. Each counter boosts it by 200 atk (he starts at 2000)and when you have 2 counters on the monster, you can remove them to kill a monster on your opponents side of the field. So you see that "gather your mind" makes it sure you almost always have a magic ready to be activated !Anyway, sorry for the lecture

I used to play Pokemon's but the rules weren't that amuzing, it was more like "look I've got a more powerful card than you, sorry bub, you're lost" while Yu-Gi has trap cards and stuff that can deal with those almighty monsters
