Its moderately popular although fans of the game loved the FF ADV movie and tryed to see the good in FF spirits within even though it was ok to me. Its like mario for nintendo its one of many franchises in the gaming industry that will continue until it stops making cash

I liked FF6 the best. I like FF7-9 a good deal(There's something about 9 I really like, I can't pinpoint it), FFX was OK, FFX-2 was a joke, FFXI I've never played, FFXII looks great graphics-wise but may be a bit shaky on the story front.I'd say it's been degrading a good deal since at least FFX-2.

Well, the problem is Squareenix wouldn't know a good quality game anymore if it hit them on the head, The FF series isn't the problem, it's the company behind the game.

FF is only going for a bad season but i think the stories will take change returning to the old good times but i donīt think it will not die soon. Well at least not on the new generation consoles.

Well I think ff is falling slowly but not forever. I think they just need too a break till they come up with new strong story lines. I can't see ff ever dying out.

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

After I've witnessed the atrocity of FFX-2, I kind of lost hope for the series.

Final Fantasy is falling right now. It is taking too long for their new games, and since XI was only available online, many gamers were left to not play. Hopefully Advent Children can pick up the slack in the US.

it has been falling a little (just look at how much they've been milking FFVII...) but they are getting on track again with the release of FFXII....even if its in May 2006

I think it's going down pretty hard. Square seems to be violating every tenet of it in the past few games that made it a classic series:1. Never make a sequel (*cough*FFX*cough*)2. Never make it multiplayer (*cough*FFXI*cough*)3. Make a main character you can identify with (sorry, I don't look effeminate or wear lederhosen)Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather play Fire Emblem or something now.

FFXII (coming out MAY 2006 on the PS2!!!) is suppose to have more graphics on the enviroment instead of the characters so that the characters look worse than on FFX, I still dunno if this is good or not....and again ITS ON THE PS2!!!!

I haven't liked the last few FF games. The last one I liked was FF7. 9 was OK, but the rest sucked. It should pick up though.

Once bread becomes toast, it can never go back to being bread again. And if a light sleeper can't sleep with a light on, can a hard sleeper sleep with a hardon?

Hooray for FFXII! Of course I'll never play it because they stopped being good since the SNES, but whatever.

its falling... i mean... IMO its falling.., The storyline is much worst nowadays... Only the graphics r improving....

Damn i really agree with that post.i only played FF7 halfway since i had it on PC and it froze. But i still think the story was good even though i got to almost the end of the second disc.I also played FF8 which was also a bit of a good story line.FF10 storyline wasnt even that good. too casual.NOW FF10-2 STORY SUCKED TERRIBLY.IT SUCKED SO BADLY THAT I ONLY PLAYED IT FOR A FEW MINUTES And RETURNED IT TO THE STORE.did you also notice that storylines for most games get better when a submain character dies?for example FF7
