definetly laptop if you have a wireless connection because being refined to stay in one place is a big inconvience (assuming your the one that uses it). Plus they take less space which is always nice.

If you live in someplace away from home like in a hostel or are always travelling,a laptop is the best. But if you live at home or have a stable place to live,PCs rock.

depends on what your going to use it for. if your not big on gaming, then go with a PC. If you want an easy use/ easily transportable computer then go with a laptop. I have a cheap laptop, but I also have a desiel PC.

I must admit that laptops are easier to use for LAN parties, but in general, desktop computers are more powerful, and generally more stable.LAN parties. Man it was such a pain in the donkey to dissassemble everything, and take it down the street. then re-assemble everything.

I have both a laptop and a desktop the laptop specs absolutely destroy the desktop, it makes LAN parties so much easier for me, and I can take it to school and use it over the wireless, so the only arguement against laptops is that the fans do not constantly run, they run only once the heat reaches a level, then quit again

Yup, for the same price, a PC is usually stronger in terms of processing power and all that. Which of course is important if you're big on gaming. As mentioned above though, a laptop is a lot more portable and convenient.
