Well, choosing between a laptop and a workstation is reall a matter of what do you want to do with it...The best solution though is to have a good workstation and a medium "quality" laptop for support...

i would choose laptop over PC but that is cuz i travel and have to do school online. also for the model i agree with many other ppl, toshiba is good. But i've used a dell laptop and it is good price and quality. Laptop u can go anywhere and do what u doing, like bathroom for example, no more newspapers. And also, if you like to play games like UT for example, that needs a lot of power, so for games it is PC.

well I have had 2 lappies and 2 pcs and I love lappies but there really not good enough for what I do. PCs all the way theres no comparison, only up side to lappies is playing not at home. Otherwise theres no point(even though im at home typing on a laptop =p)

Since I'm working on computers all the time anyways, and I'm often out of the house a laptop better suits my needs. Also since I work with computers at school this makes it easier to transfer work.

Well PC is alot better for games and things like that. It has 5x more memory. If your going to get one for mainly online stuff and high graphics, get Alien Ware. E-Machines is good for all-around things. Dells arnt all that great =/

I have both lap and pc, and I think the two of them are very good, one complements the other.

it really depends on what type. if you have a really fast laptop than that would be better because you can carry it around, but it your pc is faster and has more memory then that would be better.
