No actually desktops have more stuff in it, so naturally they can perform better. This might sound so simple that it's lame, but really.

It really depends on what kind of things youre planning to do with it. For gaming, youd be better of with a PC. For things like work and mobile stuff, you'd want a laptop.Although, nothing beats playing WC3 during a boring lecture on your laptop... Hehehehehe...

I would go for a desktop, but if you looking for portability go for laptop. Since it seems you're looking for a gaming pc/laptop for school and home gaming, I'd go for desktop. If money is no object go for a alienware. If you know how to build one go for that if not ask someone. Essentialy it depends on what you need.

it really depends on you. Get a laptop if you like to play your computer every where. for me i would buy a pc instead of a laptop.

I prefer desktops, but what to get depends on the usage. A student or businessman may want to get a laptop, while big gamers may favor a desktop due to the better hardware.

Well.. I really don't like Laptops that much. I'm using a laptop right now, but where's the fun in upgrading and making it look nice? I'm trying to make the components in this laptop look nice. Like adding a few gizmos that make the computer cool. Make others say "wow, your computer is nice!" Well, I'd recommend that you'd get a Laptop IF YOU GO TO PLACES A LOT. Like you move a lot. If you're just there, just get a Personal Computer. But, if you got the funds... you might as well get both.

I'm gonna get a laptop because I'm going to uni and I need a laptop. But if I was living in my own flat or at home I'd get a new pc cause you can upgrade them cheaply
