I prefer the easy upgrades of a pc, but I like the mobility of a laptop. Hmmm... at least no one can easily walk off with my tower.

Computers are better for games because they are more powerful but it is true that they are huge.

computer, laptops are too expensive and lag is a considerable problem. Besides for gaming on a laptop;chances are that you play laptop games at your house. Who is willing to take the portable mouse everywhere with the laptop? Anyway, my laptop is just for my studies.

I prefer PC.Laptops sure are useful and easy to transport, but upgrading them is unpracticable (have I spelled it right?). If your cd-rom/display/hard-disk gets a probelm, you'd better buy a brand new whole laptop, instead of just swaping the problematic device. Also, I hate laptop's keyboards (I do miss the NumPad and this annoying pseudo-numpad takes away half of the keyboard). - OK. I could buy a ps2-usb adaptor and use a standart PC keyboard, but whatever...Well... maybe if I had a very powerful laptop, I could change my opinion, but since it costs at least 4x times more than a similar PC, I'll stick with desktop...Again, it all depends on your final use. If you are just using it in a fixed place (your room), than a desktop is obvioully a better choice (more powerful and cheaper). If you need a portable device, choose a laptop (lighter, more versatile, etc).

Well, it depends. I usually don't leave my room ('cause I'm lazy and have absolutely no life whatsoever), so I like my desktop. It's bigger, easier to fix, easier to add extra stuff to, easier to hook things up to... Yeah. I like it. I also like that desktops tend to come with a mouse, and not that weird joystick, or the pad (which gives me an idea for a new topic...). And you've got a better chance of finding a computer with a floppy drive on a desktop, too.Of course, it would be nice if I could take it downstairs to the living room once in awhile, but the pros outweigh the cons, in my opinion.

I have a laptop but would much rather have a desktop. Sure I love the size and portability of laptops but I want to play games. Games require upgrades. Laptops don't have many upgrades. Desktops do.
