It is a very good game. Getting souls from some of the enemies takes forever sometimes, but apart from that, if you enjoyed Aria of Sorrow, you'll enjoy this one. You don't have to use the stylus at all except for drawing the seals and breaking certain blocks. The top screen is great for seeing the map at all times or your character's status, as well as the enemy you just attacked and if you have their soul or not. Very useful. Its one of the reasons I got a DS.

i never was a huge caslvainya fan but when my neaber got it and i plaeyd it for a few minuts i knew i had to have it. so i bought it the same day. it rocks.

THE GAME IS PERFECT IT HAS GOOD GRAPHICS AND GOOD CUTSCENS. BY FAR THE BEST IN IT'S SERIES ANYONE THAT CAN I SUGGEST YOU BUY/GET IT!

I own all three GBA version and really liked them. I have never tried the DS version but if its only half as good as one of the GBA version then its a good game.

I just got the game, but the problem is I cant seem to save it, I died 5 times already becasue I can not get pass the first boss. Is there a way to save it because everytime I die I have to start all over to get to the 1st boss.its a decent game ill give it some credit

Yeah when i first started playing it i was hooked and i didn't stop playing till the end! It wasn't too tricky except for some of the bosses but it was very enjoyable throughout!

well ya the game is funif you go to www.ign.com and search up castlevania, you'll find some trailersthe game looks cool and funalso, it's in the top 5 top DS games i believe so it MUST be good

It's good fun, i got it on saturday, completed it on wednesday ><doing Julius mode and Hard mode now :/ still can't get boss mode done in under 5 mins, but i love the nunchuks and the terror bear

This game was pretty good but i felt kinda gyped in someways. Like how a lot of the souls you get are like the ones in the gameboy one. Also the chaos ring isnt as awesme as before. But overall the story was really good and it has good replay value.

I'm certain theres another thread for this game, but yes, Castlevania DoS is amongst the best games on the DS. Mainly because it borrows so much from SotN, but in turn adds a little more to it as well. Plus it is a direct sequel. Something the series hasn't done before.My only beef is that its a little short and not too challengingly varied (unless its Hard Mode!). Games utilising different styles of play are more interesting. So while I LOVE the game, I do feel the series isn't varied enough...
