within each rpg game there have been different characters, different setup of weapons/powers, different graphics, and different storylines and the one that is the most important is the storyline (mostly save the world but what happens in the middle counts) and that is why final fantasy VII is a good game

FF7s story is pretty good. But i dont really think that theres anything that makes it stand out so much. Other than the hotties tifa and aeiris. Personally i liked FF3 the best.

Ummm; I'm not a new RPGer; I was weaned on the Strategic Simulations Inc games on the PC when the games were released back in 1988 onwards; I clocked my first RPG when I was 5.simply enough, the game may be bad in the eyes of the new rpg fans, who think that the best thing in a game are the graphics...that is completely wrong, I am tired of good looking games with a boring story, i have thrown away such games cuz of that alone, the graphics are nothing compared to a good story, THAT is the true reason a RPG exist, STORY not GRAPHICS, graphics are for other series of game without story. also FF7 is a good game, that is if you are a rpg fan that likes a good story, not good graphics.

FF7 is one of the best FF out there to date...think about it...from FF6 to FF7 was revolutionary...you have to remember that this was back in 1997 when it first came out...the FMV sequences were beautiful, cloud is one of the best (if not the best) main characters in FF to date, the storyline was great, the materia system was innovative, it was fun to play, and, c'mon, you know Sephiroth is one of the coolest bad guys in the entire FF series...and if it wasn't that good, then why would they make a movie out of it and remake it for the PS3...me, personally, this IS the best FF game in the series...FFX comes second and FFVIII is third

VII is okay, but I much prefer VI, IX, X, and VIII. Sephiroth in particular I find highly over rated. I mean, come on, Kefka poisoned an entire town of innocent people and succeeded in taking over the world. How many villains can boast actually doing that?A lot of people don't even realize there were any FFs before VII... Pity.

8.5 I think FF7 is good, but its history is confusing sometimes and got some errors(If the Weapons appear to destroy Sephiroth, why Ruby and Emerald {that are stronger than him} can't reach him)(Why Cloud went crazy by finding Sephiroth in the crater first time if he wasn't his clone after all and how sephiroth got there{Crater} if he was dead)

To be perfectly honest Though i liked FF7 alot it was not my favorite of the final fantasies. Even though it shouldn't really matter some times graphics really can make a difference. I would give it an 8 out of 10.

I'd give it about a 7. Great innovation with the Materia system, great graphics update. I knock off 3 points for all the stupid hype it gets from everybody.

ff7 gets a 10 for storyline, characters and gameplay, and a 9 for graphics, which at the time weren't all that bad. that averages out to a 9.75
