I loved FFVII and for a good while i was a huge fan. I mean come on slotted weapons and armor, you could customize with materia. how bad donkey was that. but i do think it has passed it's time. still a fun game to play and great story. but the replay value after 30-40 times of playing is low.

ff7 is good, with the graphics/music/materia system. materia system was tight, but a bit overpowered. i mean with 8 counters linked with 8 mimes, and u used mime after you used omnislash, its basically just a 1 hit kill. ff8 is hated by many due to the draw system, but i like ff8 better. just my opinion

Thats true. It also made a world full of fanboys of guys with blond hair and huge swords. How sad and disgustingly weird. :P

Yeah. It's one of the best games ever made. One of the first of its kind. I like to pass it on to my descendants. :P

I simply love Final Fantasy VII, it's my favourite game ever on any of the PlayStation systems, I like no PlayStation, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation 3 game better (though I don't have PS3 yet, but I can tell just by it's titles it has for it), but if there was a FFVII remake on the PS3 (or PS4), I would better by far than the PS1 FFVII.

FF7 has two things to be memorable :_ Unique materia system_ Each character has important part in the game's story , and the story itself is very nice .I've played FF7 five times since I was 12 . I played it on PC the first time but the game crashed after I leave Midgar . Then I played the PS version of the game . and I really enjoyed it . I replay FF7 every year , and now I'm 18 , quite a history eh ?

One thing I'll never forget bout FFVII is getting Yuffie as Cloud's date in Disc 1... That's before going to the Ancient Temple.. There's also a part were Tifa gets jelous at the Ancient Temple (if she's in your party).. I'll never forget those...

This was a great game, how did they screw up the movie so bad?Advent Children was one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever seen. It nearly ruined this game for me, I had to make myself forget it.

Yeah, except for 2 or 3 scenes, that movie pretty much sucked.I liked FF7, but come on, is it really that good? The more I hear about or talk about the game, the more I dislike it. It wasn't "brilliant" or whatever, but it was a pretty good PSX game, but people still act like it just came out last week or something.

Hey buddy! It's more because it's a classic for 1, 2 good story/plotline, 3 they never dared killing off such a major character, and 4 It's reminding us all of what greatest it came to, what with Advent Children, Dirge of Cereberus AND soon a prequel. Really hope they do something similar for FF8 now, because they, I feel, left quite a few things up in the air.

its not getting boring with the length of the game by the time you finish it you already want to play again to remember the begining. the graphics could be better but the story line is awesome one the best in the series if not the best

It is my favorite Final Fantasy game, but not my favorite RPG (which is Shadow Hearts: Covenant)For me Cloud and Sephiroth make that game (well actually all the main characters, but those are the two most important)I loved the materia setup since I love games that give me a lot of control on how to setup my characters.Plus it has a good story.

Not really- it has like the most sequels (movie and prequel games) and the characters are so deep and well rounded.

Final Fantasy VII is popular because of Tifa. PERIOD! Just kidding, but yeah.. the storyline and the characters basically makes this the best Final Fantasy game in the series.
